Delivery Route Driver – San Antonio / Central Texas

Position Summary

Vintures Wine is seeking a dependable route driver to support our rapidly growing retail, grocery, and restaurant delivery business throughout San Antonio, Austin, the I-35 corridor, and surrounding Central Texas markets.

The position will initially be part-time based on scheduled delivery routes, with the potential to grow into a full-time position as our delivery volume continues to increase. We are looking for someone interested in growing with the role as our Central and South Texas delivery needs expand.

The position will be based in San Antonio, where Vintures maintains a small local storage unit and company delivery vehicle. The driver will primarily handle deliveries throughout Greater San Antonio, with scheduled routes to Austin, San Marcos, Kyle, Boerne, Fredericksburg, and other surrounding markets as needed.

As our business continues to grow, there is also the potential for periodic longer-distance routes into West Texas, South Texas and the Gulf Coast, including markets such as Laredo, McAllen, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Midland and Odessa.

Many of our grocery customers, including H-E-B, have strict early-morning receiving windows, so reliability and punctuality are essential.

This is an ideal position for someone who enjoys driving, working independently, taking responsibility for their own routes, and is interested in the opportunity to take on increasing hours and responsibilities as the business grows.

Responsibilities

• Complete scheduled delivery routes safely and efficiently
• Pick up and organize orders from our San Antonio storage location
• Deliver orders within designated customer receiving windows
• Load and unload cases of wine
• Verify order accuracy at delivery
• Communicate delivery status, delays, or issues to Vintures operations
• Maintain professional relationships with grocery, retail, and restaurant customers
• Keep the delivery vehicle and local storage area organized
• Work independently with minimal supervision
• Complete occasional longer-distance routes as scheduled

Delivery Area

Regular and scheduled routes may include:

• Greater San Antonio
• Boerne and surrounding communities
• New Braunfels, San Marcos and Kyle
• Austin and surrounding areas
• Fredericksburg and the Texas Hill Country

As delivery volume grows, the position may also expand to include periodic regional routes to:

• West Texas, including Midland and Odessa
• South Texas and border markets, including Laredo, McAllen and Brownsville
• The Gulf Coast, including Corpus Christi

Requirements

• Must be at least 21 years old
• Valid driver's license and clean driving record
• Dependable and punctual, particularly for early-morning routes
• Ability to regularly lift and move cases weighing approximately 30–50 lbs
• Comfortable driving throughout Central Texas and occasionally longer distances
• Good communication and organizational skills
• Prior delivery, grocery, DSD, or route experience preferred
• H-E-B/DSD receiving experience is a strong plus

Vehicle & Local Base

• Company delivery vehicle based in San Antonio
• Company gas card provided for business use
• Small San Antonio storage location used for local inventory and route staging

Schedule

• Delivery routes may begin as early as 4:00 AM, depending on customer receiving windows
• Route length and working hours will vary based on the deliveries scheduled for that day
• Some days may involve shorter local routes, while regional routes may require longer days
• Schedule and hours will vary based on weekly delivery volume
• Availability for San Antonio, Austin, Hill Country and occasional longer-distance regional routes is preferred
