We are currently seeking a Make Ready Technician / Groundskeeper to join our team at The Henry in Sanford, Florida.
The Make Ready Technician / Groundskeeper plays a vital role in creating a clean, welcoming, and well-maintained environment for residents and visitors. This position supports the overall appearance, safety, and functionality of the community by maintaining common areas, assisting the maintenance team, and delivering outstanding customer service.
Essential Responsibilities
Community Appearance & Maintenance
- Maintain leasing offices, model apartments, clubhouses, hallways, and other shared community spaces in a clean, organized, and presentable condition.
- Assist with apartment make-ready activities to ensure units are prepared for new residents.
- Support the maintenance team with general upkeep and property improvement projects as needed.
Groundskeeping
- Maintain the cleanliness and curb appeal of the community through trash removal, debris pickup, and routine grounds maintenance.
- Monitor and maintain outdoor common areas to ensure a safe and attractive environment.
- Assist with landscaping support and seasonal property beautification efforts.
Resident Service
- Provide friendly, professional, and courteous service to residents, guests, and team members.
- Respond promptly to requests and communicate effectively with the maintenance and management teams.
Safety & Compliance
- Follow all company policies, safety procedures, and workplace regulations.
- Report safety concerns, property damage, and maintenance issues to the appropriate team members.
Team Support
- Assist with special projects and additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Work collaboratively with maintenance and management teams to support community operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
- Previous groundskeeping, janitorial, maintenance, or apartment community experience is a plus.
- Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
- Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds.
- Strong attention to detail and commitment to maintaining high standards.
- Reliable transportation and dependable attendance.
