Department: FIVE18 Mental Health
Job Status: Active
FLSA Status: Non-Exempt
Reports To: Director of Marriage & Relationship Services
Amount of Travel Required: 0-10% of travel time expected (potential for multiple work sites)
Job Type: Part-time (Minimum of 15 client sessions/week; potential to be hired if wanting to complete less than 15 client hours/week but this will be evaluated on a case-by-case basis)

Pay & Benefits: Ranges from $22.25 per hour to $23.75. Benefits include flexible schedule, professional development opportunities, free supervision towards licensure, volunteer time off, 401k (after 6 months), 401k matching (after 1 year) and the potential for part-time Holiday PTO (after 1 year).
Position Summary
FIVE18 Mental Health Clinical Training is a program designed to prioritize the clinician-in-training. Our goal is to provide training, experience, and supervision tailored to the individual to foster an environment that guides you directly toward your passions. Additionally, we offer quality supervision with no time commitment required of you post-licensure, all at no cost to you! At FIVE18, we invest in you.
The purpose of this position is to fulfill the mission of FIVE18 Counseling and FIVE18 Family Services by providing professional counseling that facilitates a collaborative process of growth and change with couples and families. The professional counseling services provided will be guided by professional ethics of the counseling field and by best practice standards, and consistent with the Christian culture of FIVE18 Family Services.
Essential Functions
- Provides couples and/or family therapy to clients
- Ensures that counseling sessions begin and end on time
- Completes all required paperwork for client charts and billing in a timely manner
- Coordinate services with a multidisciplinary team, including social workers, administrative staff, medical staff, and community agencies
- Attend or cooperate with court proceedings and testify in court as needed
- Completes all continuing educational requirements regarding marriage and family work needed to remain in good standing with licensing board
- Maintains client confidentiality and other ethical standards outlined by the state licensing board and participates in clinical supervision or consultation as needed
- Schedules follow up sessions with clients, takes payments, and issues receipts
- Participates in team staff meetings and in FIVE18 all-staff meetings
- Participates in required trainings
- Work with supervisor to identify annual SMART(er) goals; participate in the quarterly reset using the C-BOS training library.

DELIVERABLES: The Licensed Marriage and Family Therapist will meet with clients as scheduled and provide quality counseling and mental health services. They will maintain and monitor their schedules, and provide the number of clinical sessions each week as agreed upon in collaboration with the Director of Marriage & Relationship Services.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Knowledge of:
- Human behavior and performance; individual differences in ability, personality, and interests; learning and motivation; psychological research methods; and the assessment and treatment of behavioral and affective disorders.
- Principles, methods, and procedures for diagnosis and treatment of conditions found in the DSM-5 TR.
- Principles and processes for providing customer and personal services. This includes customer needs assessment, meeting quality standards for services, and evaluation of customer satisfaction
- Couple therapies, techniques, tools, and knowledge of theorists. Ex. Gottman, IMAGO, Prepare-Enrich, SYMBIS, etc.
- Family therapies, techniques, tools, and knowledge of theorists. Ex. IFS, Bowenian Family Systems, Structural, Strategic, etc.
- Group behavior and dynamics, societal trends and influences, ethnicity, cultures
- All pertinent insurance policies
- Basic computer programs such as: Word Processor, Spreadsheet, Internet, and Database applications
- Current counseling/therapy techniques and methodologies
Skills:
- Basic technological skills: using computers, fax machines, and telephones
- Skilled in assessment, evaluation, application of appropriate therapeutic methods

Required Education:
- Graduate degree in the Mental Health Field
Certification & Licenses:
- Prior to onboarding, the applicant must show board approval as a Licensed Resident in Counseling or Licensed Resident in Marriage and Family Therapy.
- Strong preference for certifications in various methods of trauma informed care and various marriage and family therapies.
Other Requirements:
- Languages: Must be able to effectively communicate orally and in writing, in the English language, with proper etiquette
- Office or other equipment: Normal use and understanding of basic office equipment including the computer and its related software, copiers, and fax machines
- Must have the clean and neat appearance of a business professional
- Obtain and maintain personal malpractice insurance in compliance with state guidelines
- Maintaining active licensure with respective boards including maintaining continued education
