Manage the Procurement process for a given set of goods. Apply Sourcing policy, interface between supplier and entity with respect to specifications and budgets. Has in-depth knowledge of best practices and how own area integrates with others; has working knowledge of competition and the factors that differentiate them in the market. As Project Planner, responsible for the development, maintenance, and monitoring of integrated project schedules for Systems & CIC cubicle delivery. Acts as the central point of schedule intelligence, providing critical insights that enable the Cluster teams to mitigate risks and maintain delivery commitments.Job Description

Procurement & Order Management
- Supply Chain Oversight: Direct all procurement activities for Products, Projects, and Services, ensuring adherence to KPIs (Sales Plan, OTD, Supplier Quality, Kitting Performance, and Inventory levels).
- Supplier Relationship Management: Manage supplier communications, lead time reviews, and grievance resolution. Resolve delivery bottlenecks to ensure critical material availability.
- Compliance & Process: Drive team adherence to Procurement / Sourcing policies, including accurate PO issuance, PO acknowledgment, documentation, and payment processing.
- Performance Optimization: Implement lean methodologies, drive process improvements, and represent the team in weekly/monthly Global Supply Chain (GSC) calls to align on budgets and forecasts.
- Critical Path Analysis: Identify, monitor, and report on the project critical path, specifically highlighting dependencies between hardware procurement, manufacturing release and Integrated FAT.
Project Planning & Execution Strategy
- Integrated Scheduling: Work with Cluster teams and Orchestrate project sequencing and prioritization in coordination with Manufacturing Units (MU) and Factory Acceptance Testing (FAT) teams. Share FAT plans to Cluster Teams.
- Stakeholder Planning: Release and maintain quarterly/monthly project sales & billing plans, ensuring alignment between Cluster / MU Teams and stakeholders.
- Milestone Tracking: Monitor and report on end-to-end project status, including engineering/DB status, manufacturing progress, FAT completion, and customer inspection dates.
- Revenue & Forecasting: Track revenue recognition / billing, derive Sales / Inventory forecasts, and manage the EAS (Material Master) data to forecast internal and BOJ material requirements.
- Cluster - MU Alignment: Co-ordinate cubicle readiness for inspection & billing, meeting customer timelines and ensuring optimal turnaround time at shopfloor.
- Risk & Mitigation: Proactively identify potential schedule slippages due to material lead times, site access constraints, or technical changes, and collaborate with project managers to develop robust recovery plans.
Warehouse & Inventory Control
- Inventory Integrity: Maintain real-time physical inventory accuracy and lead annual audits to ensure zero process deviations.
- Kitting & Sequencing: Manage the kitting plan to ensure material availability aligns precisely with the manufacturing schedule.
- Material Lifecycle: Identify opportunities to reduce lead times for critical components and manage inventory levels. Proactively manage excess, non-moving, and obsolete (NMO) materials; drive diversions and scrap initiatives to optimize warehouse space.
- EHS & Operations: Oversee store operations, ensuring compliance with Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) standards and efficient material handling. Lead yearly inventory audit and ensure compliance with established procedures
Leadership & Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Team Development: Mentor and manage procurement and stores teams, providing guidance on process compliance and operational performance.
- Stakeholder Liaison: Serve as the primary point of contact for Cluster Leaders and Project Managers, ensuring their operational requirements are met with agility. Montior Manufacturing & FAT progress and co-ordinate with key customer such as Powergrid (Local RIO), etc.
- Continuous Improvement: Foster a culture of efficiency by addressing bottlenecks and implementing systematic improvements to workflows.
Required Qualifications
- 10 –15 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, project planning within Grid automation / Power industry.
- Bachelor's Degree in Engineering
- Demonstrated experience managing schedules for projects involving hardware integration and software deployment.
- Prior experience with substation automation projects, Understanding of cyber security implementation timelines and their impact on project scheduling.
