The Special District Group (SDG) is a team in Piper Sandler’s Public Finance practice that is dedicated to raising capital for public infrastructure for new development or redevelopment projects. We hold a dominant position in the market we serve and are actively growing into new markets that have demand for public infrastructure.

About This Critical Role – The Job
We are currently looking for a 2027 Summer Quantitative Associate intern to join the SDG team in Denver, CO. Our Quantitative Associate internship program provides an opportunity for candidates to grow over the course of the summer by working at the intersection of public finance investment banking and financial analysis. As part of an industry team, interns will contribute to live deals and projects.
Our Summer Quantitative Associate internship program is a direct pipeline to full-time positions.

Eligibility:
- Enrolled in a full-time MBA program in the fall of 2026
- Interest in a career in Public Finance
- Available for a summer internship in 2027
- You must be work authorized in the United States on a full-time basis without the need for employer sponsorship now or in the future. For this role, we cannot offer employment to F-1 (student) visa holders who require employer sponsorship in the future or cannot work now on a full-time basis.
