Job Summary

The OTC Strategic Supervisor leads a team of Order-to-Cash professionals responsible for managing collections activities across a portfolio of strategic customers throughout Europe. This role is accountable for driving cash collection performance, reducing overdue balances, mitigating credit risk, and ensuring compliance with company policies. The successful candidate will provide operational leadership, support complex customer escalations, collaborate with key business stakeholders, and drive continuous improvement initiatives to achieve working capital, DSO, and customer satisfaction objectives.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead, coach, and develop a team of approximately 10 OTC Strategic Officers.
  • Set performance objectives and monitor individual and team KPIs.
  • Conduct regular performance reviews, coaching sessions, and development planning.
  • Support talent development, succession planning, and employee engagement initiatives.
  • Ensure effective resource allocation and workload balancing across customer portfolios.
  • Foster a culture of accountability, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
  • Oversee collections activities across a portfolio of strategic customers.
  • Drive achievement of DSO, cash collection, overdue reduction, and working capital targets.
  • Monitor collection performance and ensure consistent execution of collection strategies.
  • Review aging reports and proactively identify and escalate financial risks.
  • Ensure adherence to credit policies and collection procedures.
  • Support month-end, quarter-end, and year-end cash collection objectives.
  • Build strong relationships with key customers and internal stakeholders.
  • Act as the primary escalation point for complex collection, payment, and dispute issues.
  • Partner with Sales, Account Management, Credit Risk, Billing, and Finance teams to resolve customer-related matters.
  • Lead governance meetings and customer review sessions.
  • Balance commercial objectives while protecting the company's financial interests.
  • Identify and implement process improvement opportunities within the Order-to-Cash function.

Skills & Experience

  • 5+ years of experience in Collections, Order-to-Cash (OTC), Credit Management, or Accounts Receivable.
  • Previous experience leading or supervising teams within a finance or shared services environment.
  • Strong knowledge of collections processes, cash flow management, and credit risk principles.
  • Experience managing strategic, key account, or multinational customer portfolios.
  • Proven track record of delivering improvements in DSO, cash collection, and working capital performance.
  • Experience working in a multinational, global business services, or shared services environment.
  • Demonstrated ability to drive process improvement and transformation initiatives.
  • Strong stakeholder management and communication skills, with the ability to influence at multiple levels.
  • Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving and decision-making capabilities.
  • Proficiency in ERP systems and Microsoft Excel.
  • Fluent English; additional European languages are an advantage.
