Key purpose of the role:
The General Manager Product Delivery is accountable for the engineering, delivery, operation and continuous improvement of ASX Technology & Data products and services. Leading cross-functional Delivery and Engineering teams, the role is responsible for translating product strategy into successful delivery outcomes while ensuring products remain secure, resilient, scalable and aligned to Technology & Data strategic objectives, regulatory obligations and risk frameworks.
Your Team
Technology & Data Product Delivery is responsible for the engineering, delivery, operation and continuous improvement of ASX Technology Services and Data Products. We bring together Delivery, Engineering, Quality Assurance and Operational expertise to build, run and support resilient, secure and high-performing products and services. Working in close partnership with Product Management, Strategy, Commercial and Technology teams, we deliver customer outcomes through engineering excellence, operational discipline, innovation and continuous improvement, while living the ASX Values.
Your responsibilities:
Delivery Leadership
- Accountable for the successful delivery of Technology & Data product initiatives, ensuring outcomes are delivered safely, efficiently and to agreed quality, scope and timeframes.
- Lead Agile delivery practices across Product Squads, ensuring consistent adoption of ASX governance, delivery frameworks and engineering standards.
- Oversee end-to-end software delivery activities including planning, business analysis, design, engineering, testing, release management and operational readiness.
- Drive effective prioritisation, capacity planning and dependency management across delivery portfolios.
Engineering Leadership
- Accountable for engineering outcomes across Technology & Data products and services.
- Establish and maintain engineering practices, standards and controls that promote quality, reliability, security and maintainability.
- Drive engineering excellence through adoption of modern software engineering, DevOps, automation and continuous delivery practices.
- Ensure products remain fit-for-purpose through technology currency, technical debt management and platform modernisation initiatives.
- Partner closely with Architecture, Data, Infrastructure, Cyber Security and Digital teams to ensure sound technical design and scalable solutions.
Run & Operate
Partnering with ASX Technology and Service Providers ensure:
- Operational performance, availability and reliability of Technology & Data products and services.
- Effective service management, production support, incident management and operational governance practices are maintained.
- Continuous improvement of operational processes, service performance and customer experience.
- Products are supported through appropriate monitoring, observability and performance management practices.
Risk Management & Operational Excellence
- Provide executive accountability for risk management, control effectiveness and operational resilience across Technology & Data products and services.
- Ensure technology, operational, cyber and delivery risks are proactively identified, assessed and effectively managed.
- Maintain alignment with ASX risk management frameworks, regulatory obligations and compliance requirements.
- Oversee the remediation of technology risks, control deficiencies, audit findings and operational incidents.
- Promote a culture of accountability, control ownership and risk awareness across Delivery and Engineering teams.
Leadership & Governance
- Build and develop high-performing Delivery, Engineering and Quality Assurance teams through coaching, mentoring and capability development.
- Represent Product Delivery at executive governance forums, investment committees and strategic planning discussions.
- Provide leadership across Product Delivery, Engineering and Technology teams to achieve shared business outcomes.
- Drive a culture of continuous improvement, collaboration, innovation and accountability.
- Partner with Product Management to ensure product strategies and roadmaps are translated into successful delivery and operational outcomes.
