As a Packaged/SaaS Application Engineering Lead specializing in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, you will design, develop, configure, and support enterprise B2B integration solutions that enable secure and reliable data exchange between business partners, applications, and external systems. The role requires strong expertise in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator, EDI workflows, integration processes, and Managed File Transfer (MFT) capabilities to deliver scalable, efficient, and reliable solutions.
The engineer will collaborate with business, application, and infrastructure teams to ensure seamless partner onboarding, integration stability, platform optimization, and continuous improvement of B2B communication solutions.
Roles & Responsibilities:
1. Act as a Subject Matter Expert (SME) and collaborate with teams to ensure effective execution and delivery.
2. Own technical decisions related to IBM Sterling B2B Integrator solutions and B2B integration architecture.
3. Collaborate with multiple teams and contribute to key design, implementation, and operational decisions.
4. Provide solutions to complex integration challenges across immediate and cross-functional teams.
5. Design, develop, configure, and support IBM Sterling B2B Integrator workflows and business processes.
6. Develop and maintain B2B integrations using EDI standards, partner profiles, communication protocols, and integration frameworks.
7. Configure and manage Sterling components, including business processes, adapters, trading partner setups, and monitoring capabilities.
8. Support partner onboarding activities, integration testing, production deployments, and issue resolution.
9. Perform troubleshooting, root cause analysis, performance tuning, and optimization of Sterling B2B environments.
10. Implement process improvements to enhance integration reliability, automation, scalability, and operational efficiency.
11. Mentor junior team members on IBM Sterling development, B2B integration patterns, and support best practices.
12. Coordinate with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery of integration solutions aligned with business objectives.
Professional & Technical Skills
1. Must-have skill: Strong proficiency in IBM Sterling B2B Integrator.
2. Extensive experience with IBM Sterling B2B Integrator development, configuration, and administration.
3. Hands-on experience with EDI standards such as X12, EDIFACT, and B2B transaction processing.
4. Strong understanding of Managed File Transfer (MFT) concepts, secure protocols, and partner integrations.
5. Experience developing and configuring Sterling business processes, adapters, maps, and workflows.
6. Knowledge of communication protocols including SFTP, FTP, FTPS, HTTP/S, AS2, and MQ.
7. Ability to troubleshoot integration failures, performance issues, and production incidents.
8. Experience with enterprise integration patterns, API integrations, and middleware technologies.
9. Familiarity with Agile methodologies, SDLC processes, deployment practices, and production support models.
10. Strong understanding of security practices, including encryption, digital certificates, authentication, and access management.
