Role Summary

The Retail Technology Intern will work closely with project management, application development, and support teams on active initiatives affecting our brands' store locations. This role blends hands-on testing, documentation, and project coordination, giving exposure to how retail technology gets built, tested, and rolled out across URBN's brands. Along the way, the intern will build cross-functional partnerships across teams and gain a broader understanding of how retail operations function across URBN's brand portfolio.

Summer Internship Program Application Process:

 

1) Apply to one (1) internship posting that best aligns with your interests and skills. If there is a project component included in the application (see role qualifications below), it is required and must be submitted at the time of application to be considered for the position.

 

2) Complete a Video Interview: Candidates selected to move forward will receive an email with a link to complete a video interview. Once the email is received, candidates will have two (2) days to complete this portion of the application.

 

3) Interviews with our internal teams will be scheduled on a rolling basis.

Role Responsibilities

  • Support active retail technology projects and pilot programs — helping track scope, timelines, and store-level feedback
  • Assist with QA/testing for retail-facing applications during development cycles
  • Help manage intake and organize incoming requests across the Retail Technology team's project queue
  • Maintain and update documentation, meeting notes, and knowledge base articles used by support and store teams
  • Participate in agile ceremonies (stand-ups, sprint reviews) with app development teams

Role Qualifications

  • Experience at URBN retail store locations or other retailers (a plus, not required)
  • Strong organizational skills and comfort tracking multiple workstreams at once
  • Good communication skills and willingness to flag issues or ask questions
  • Eagerness to learn new technologies, testing processes, and project tools
  • Solid Google Workspace skills (Docs, Sheets, Slides)
  • Curiosity and creativity in applying AI tools to everyday work
