Associate Software Engineer

SLB India Technology Centre has an opening for an Associate Software Engineer who will be a part of the IT delivery teams who are responsible for delivering various business capabilities by implementing digital solutions. The role involves enriching existing applications with new features or implementing new applications.

## Key responsibilities

• Development of new features for new Project/Product.
• Contribute in analysis, upgrade and troubleshooting of existing applications.
• Identify and troubleshoot application performance and service degradation, working with other developers and DBA to resolve issues and improve the service quality attribute of the application.
• Ensure quality delivery of capabilities to application by unit and integration tests
• Meets and discusses with key application stakeholders and follow up with actions, solutions and traceable improvements
• Share knowledge with team members
• All work is done in accordance with SLB Standards & Information Technology policies, processes and procedures or as directed by IT management.

## Qualifications and Requirements

### Essential qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Computer Science or other
• 0-1 years of knowledge in SDLC, SQL/Java/ Python and problem-solving skills.

### Key competencies

• Programming language (C#, Angular/.Net) and a strong proficiency in at least one of the scripting languages like PowerShell, Python or Shell Scripting
• Operating System: Windows and Linux
• Should have knowledge on SQL or NoSQL
• Knowledge or working experience of Google Cloud, Azure Cloud offerings and usage, Angular/NodeJS is plus.

### Other skills and abilities

• Software engineer / developer with a keen interest in programming.
• Ability to work in global distributed setting without supervision
• Self-driven, Proactive, Continuous Improvement Mindset
• Open to travel abroad and in India
• Comfortable working across time-zones (open to shift and on-call) and people of different nationalities
• Excellent communication skills & ability to present to different stakeholder groups
• Works well with all personality types
• Fluent in English and a confident speaker
