The following position is to join our RTX Enterprise Services team in Santa Isabel, Puerto Rico:
RTX is seeking a strong candidate to join the Global Travel and Expense Team. Travel and Expense is responsible for auditing expense reports ensuring that they are accurate and compliant with RTX policies and Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR Part 31) and local laws. This position will also be responsible for communicating any unresolved issues found in an expense report. The Travel & Expense team manages a high volume, fast-paced process in a team-oriented environment with continuously expanding responsibilities. The Senior Assistant, Finance Support will be part of a team of auditors processing expense reports in Concur.
What You Will Do
- Audit of expense statements, customer service communication with stakeholders of expense statements, and special transactional data reviews to support internal company policy compliance audits.
- Auditing expense statements containing business costs for adherence to RTX Corporate Policies and US Government Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR) guidance.
- Interaction with employees, Government Accounting, and Travel Accounting management via phone, email, and direct communication to resolve problems.
- Interpreting and giving directions to employees within the RTX policy guidelines.
- Update (as required) business specific processes and procedures related to expense statement audits
- Special transactional audits to support ad hoc requests from management.
- This position will reference written work instructions for guidance with daily job activities. Work instructions are available in English only.
Qualifications You Must Have
- Typically requires a high school diploma or AA/AS (or other 2 year post HS training) with a minimum of 4 years of relevant applicable experience
- Experience in an accounting or administrative role in a corporate environment
- Proven problem solving and decision-making skills demonstrated through communication to peers and management
- Customer service experience managing teams via phone, email, or direct communication
- Intermediate skills using both Excel and Word
- Experience with Concur Expense processing
Qualifications We Prefer
- Ability to learn and use RTX internal internet applications and reporting tools
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a team environment with minimal supervision; must work well with others
- Self-stater who requires minimal management oversight
- Strong organizational skills; ability to multi-task while maintaining a high level of attention to detail
- Working knowledge of US Government Federal Acquisition Regulations (FAR)
- 3 years of financial transaction processing experience
