Electric Division Manager

he City of Santa Clara is seeking an Electric Division Manager to lead the utility’s compliance programs to ensure adherence with federal, state, and local regulations. This leadership role oversees compliance efforts related to NERC Reliability, electrical safety, environmental regulations, EH&S, NFPA, DOT, and other emerging requirements.

The ideal candidate will be equally comfortable setting strategy, coaching staff, engaging regulators, and working alongside technical experts. The incumbent serves as SVP’s primary compliance strategist and subject matter expert, providing guidance to management and staff, coordinating regulatory compliance activities, supporting audits, evaluating regulatory changes, and developing risk mitigation strategies. The position also oversees compliance planning, documentation, and cross-functional collaboration to promote a culture of compliance and operational excellence throughout the organization.
