CNC Cloth Cutting Operator/Programmer

 The CNC Cloth Cutting Operator is responsible for operating automated cutting machines to cut fabric, leather, and other materials used in upholstered furniture production. This role ensures accuracy, efficiency, and quality in all cut parts to support downstream sewing and upholstery operations. 

Requirements

•   Must be 18+ years old.
• 1-3 years' experience preferred operating CNC/automated cutting machines (e.g., Gerber, Lectra, Eastman) to cut fabric, vinyl, and leather according to production specifications.
• Load materials onto cutting tables/spreaders and ensure proper alignment and tension.
• Verify material type, color, grain direction, and defects prior to cutting.
• Monitor cutting process to ensure accuracy and minimize waste. 
• Perform basic machine setup, adjustments, and troubleshooting. 
• Conduct routine maintenance such as blade changes, cleaning, and calibration checks.
• Inspect cut parts for quality and accuracy before releasing to sewing department.
• Label, bundle, and organize cut components for production flow. 
• Track production output, material usage, and scrap. 
• Follow all safety procedures and maintain a clean work area.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor  
• Basic computer skills (machine interface/software operation) 
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with measurements and specifications 
• Digitize all new patterns using Formaris software a plus.
• Keep up daily cloth cutting demands for production in a fast-paced environment.
• Furniture upholstery hand cutting a plus.
• Read and interpret cut tickets, patterns, markers, and work orders.
• Must be able to stand for long periods of time.
• Must be able to lift 25+ lbs continually
