Description
Are you an experienced Business Analyst with a strong background in logistics and supply chain environments? We are looking for a Business Analyst to join a dynamic organisation in Germiston for a 12-month contract and play a key role in driving business improvement and technology-enabled solutions.
The Business Analyst will be responsible for understanding business needs, analysing current processes and translating requirements into practical solutions that support operational efficiency, system improvements and business objectives within a logistics environment.
Key Responsibilities
- Engage with business stakeholders to understand and document business requirements.
- Analyse logistics, supply chain and operational processes and identify opportunities for improvement.
- Facilitate requirements-gathering workshops and stakeholder sessions.
- Document As-Is and To-Be processes, business requirements and functional specifications.
- Translate business requirements into clear, actionable requirements for technical teams.
- Identify process gaps, inefficiencies and opportunities for automation.
- Work closely with Project Managers, Developers, QA and other stakeholders throughout the SDLC.
- Support solution design and ensure that proposed solutions align with business requirements.
- Assist with user acceptance testing (UAT), test scenarios and defect resolution.
- Manage requirements traceability and support change management.
- Provide ongoing communication between business and technical teams.
- Ensure solutions deliver measurable business and operational value.
Requirements
- Relevant Business Analysis qualification or equivalent experience.
- 5+ years' experience as a Business Analyst in a complex business environment.
- Strong logistics, transport, warehousing or supply chain experience is essential.
- Proven experience in business process analysis and improvement.
- Strong requirements elicitation and documentation skills.
- Experience with As-Is / To-Be process mapping.
- Experience working on IT systems or technology-enabled business projects.
- Strong stakeholder engagement and communication skills.
- Experience with Agile and/or traditional SDLC methodologies.
- Experience supporting UAT and solution implementation.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and facilitation skills.
Advantageous
- Experience with ERP, WMS, TMS or logistics management systems.
- Experience in large-scale logistics or distribution environments.
- Exposure to integration projects, APIs or data flows.
- Business Process Management (BPM) experience.
- Agile/Scrum experience.
