Description
Duties & Responsibilities
Warehouse Operations
● Supervise daily warehouse activities, including receiving, storing, issuing, and dispatching materials and equipment.
● Ensure the availability of drilling materials, consumables, tools, and spare parts required for uninterrupted operations.
● Coordinate inbound and outbound logistics activities with suppliers, freight forwarders, customs agents, and transport providers.
● Maintain optimal warehouse layout, storage conditions, and housekeeping standards.
Inventory Management
● Monitor inventory levels and maintain accurate stock records within the Warehouse Management System.
● Conduct regular cycle counts and physical stock audits.
● Investigate inventory discrepancies and implement corrective actions.
● Ensure proper identification, labelling, and traceability of all materials.
Drilling Campaign Support
● Coordinate material mobilization and demobilization activities for drilling rigs and offshore/onshore locations.
● Ensure critical spares and drilling equipment are available as required by operational schedules.
● Support logistics planning for urgent shipments and operational requirements.
Health, Safety, Environment & Quality
● Ensure compliance with company HSE policies and industry standards.
● Conduct warehouse safety inspections and risk assessments.
● Promote safe handling, storage, and transportation of hazardous materials where applicable.
● Ensure compliance with client and regulatory requirements in Mozambique.
Reporting
● Prepare inventory, stock movement, and warehouse performance reports.
● Monitor key warehouse KPIs, including inventory accuracy, stock availability, and on-time deliveries.
● Support management with forecasting and inventory planning.
Experience & Education Requirements
● Diploma or Certificate in Logistics, Warehousing, or related field.
● Minimum 2-3 years of warehouse experience, preferably in Oil & Gas, Mining, or Logistics.
● Familiarity with inventory systems and Microsoft Excel.
● Good organizational and communication skills.
● Ability to work in a fast-paced operational environment.
