Job Description
The Manager Tools and Gas Services will create a strong presence and community within the local units that form part of the PGSV. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in Service
Management with Delivery, Business increase, Quality and HSE accountability, within Electrical Engineering or Field Operations.
Further a strong experience in managing, organizing and ramping up department structures, ideally with a multi-product mix is needed. Candidates should also have a proven track record of leading collaboration and innovation in a matrix organization, with both external and internal stakeholder management, able to optimize the management of diverse teams whilst delivering results.
Key Responsibilities:
Service Strategy
- Developing, driving and implementing the PGSV Tools and Gas strategy, in line with global and regional initiatives.
- Proactively working out new growth segments, transferring them to into strategic growth initiatives in close alignment with LSU Management
- Reports progress on implementation of strategy.
- Strong drive for Tools and Gas Service business Growth (Revenues), including new Segments and Customers
Performance and delivery
- Proactively owns HSE performance and improvement actions
- Drives, implements, reports and monitors performance targets.
- Runs the day-to-day Tools and Gas Service business to ensure growth, and improvement on productivity.
- Implements agreed delivery and performance standards to ensure consistency in quality and customer satisfaction.
- Drive improvements in customer satisfaction.
Service Growth
- Close collaboration with all Service representatives within the Country, including those remaining within the Systems BUs.
- Identify white spots and define Tools and Gas strategy together with Product Management for LSU approval
- Support entries into new markets for Tools and Gas, segments and Customers, and identify opportunities for organic and inorganic growth.
Operational Excellence
- Promote synergies and develop efficient delivery processes within responsible area.
- Ensuring excellence in managing the local operations, with a focus on continuous improvement and customer satisfaction.
- Secure needed resources to support Growth while keeping operational performance
- Promote and implement the needed Training Programs
- Promote sharing of best practice.
- Support and collaborate with the Continuous Improvement and Problem-solving initiatives when required
Health, Safety and Integrity.
- Drives Service Safety and enforces a Service safety culture
- Make sure all relevant actions are implemented to significantly reduce or eliminate HSE
- Execute HSE operational plan and ensure full compliance with Hitachi Energy’s HSE and legal requirements.
- Drive operational excellence by ensuring the implementation of company programs and Service’s operational risk management.
People leadership and development
- Staffing the Tool and Gas department appropriately to ensure delivery.
- Ensure BU specific training programmes are delivered.
- Ensures that the area of responsibility is properly organized, staffed, skilled and directed.
- Guides, motivates and develops direct and indirect subordinates. Improves service availability, provides training and develops capabilities and competencies.
- Secure Team development to support Professional Growth
Requirements:
- Master’s degree in a relevant degree or equivalent experience.
- 10+ years of progressive experience in leading operational teams and initiatives
- Minimum 5 years in a leadership role.
- Significant and demonstratable experience in managing a department.
- Proven leadership skills with experience managing different functional teams.
- Proven understanding of Hitachi Energy systems and products
- Experience working within the Energy sector
- Strong analytical and strategic thinking abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Fluent in English
