Position Summary: The Project Intern-Metallurgy will learn, and support ongoing research, testing, characterization, and development activities related to metals, and advanced materials. The intern will work closely with the Materials Engineering-metallurgy team to conduct experiments, analyze data, prepare technical reports, and contribute to ongoing projects that support product performance, reliability, and material selection.
Key Responsibilities:
- Learn relevant industrial practices and procedures
- Assist in material characterization using laboratory techniques such as: Optical Microscopy, Scanning Electron Microscopy (SEM) etc
- Support sample preparation and testing activities.
- Collect, organize, and analyze experimental data.
- Perform literature reviews and benchmark studies.
- Assist in failure analysis, material evaluation, and root cause investigations.
- Prepare technical presentations and reports summarizing findings.
- Follow laboratory safety, quality, and documentation requirements.
Required Qualification: Pursuing B.Tech./B.E. or M.Tech. in Metallurgy and Material Science
Preferred Skills:
Basic Metallurgy understanding.
Failure analysis overview
Understanding of Structure Property correlation
Learning Opportunities:
