Description
The North America Powertrain & Stamping Controller is a high-visibility strategic partner and trusted advisor supporting three Powertrain Directors and one Stamping Director. Serving as the primary financial co-pilot to manufacturing leadership, this role translates complex data into real-time operational strategies, drives profitability, and champions continuous improvement across the facilities producing the backbone of all Ford vehicles.

o Executive Visibility: Lead and mentor a talented finance team (including 17 plant controllers) while presenting critical insights directly to executive leadership.
o Direct Business Impact: Partner closely with manufacturing directors to shape operational strategy, deliver vehicle volume, and eliminate waste.
o Lean Mindset: Align deliverables with lean processes to eliminate waste streams in both manufacturing operations and financial workflows.
o Modernization Champion: Drive organizational transformation by introducing new technologies that benefit both finance and plant operations.
Your Impact (Core Responsibilities)
o Profitability & Waste Elimination: Build compelling business cases and cost roadmaps to aggressively reduce operational waste.
o Strategic Business Partnering: Collaborate with plant operations and controllers to build a world-class operating system and guide time financial decision-making.
o Capital Efficiency: Oversee review, approval, and optimization of non-product capital spending to ensure lowest-cost execution.
o Financial Architecture: Lead budgeting, forecasting, and closing processes across North American facilities while maintaining robust internal controls.
o Digital Transformation: Champion and implement modern data tools (e.g., Alteryx, Power BI) to streamline and modernize the finance function.
Qualifications For This Role
o Strategy: Executive-level strategy formulation and business case development.
o Leadership: 10+ years of experience leading and developing large, diverse finance teams. o Partnering: Demonstrated strength in cross-functional teamwork and strategic business partnering.
o Tech Savvy: Advanced analytics capability and experience with digital automation tools.
o Industry & Education: Prior manufacturing experience is recommended; an MBA in Finance or Accounting is preferred.
