About the Opportunity
Lincoln Manufacturing is seeking an experienced Maintenance Mechanic to join our team at our Strasburg, Ohio manufacturing facility.
The Maintenance Mechanic is responsible for maintaining, troubleshooting, repairing, and supporting production equipment and facility systems to ensure safe and reliable operations. This position plays an important role in minimizing equipment downtime, supporting production, and maintaining a safe and efficient work environment.
The ideal candidate is mechanically inclined, safety-focused, dependable, and experienced working with industrial or manufacturing equipment. We are looking for someone who takes initiative, identifies problems before they become larger issues, and works effectively with operations and maintenance personnel.
What You'll Do
- Perform preventive and corrective maintenance on manufacturing and production equipment.
- Diagnose mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and basic electrical equipment problems.
- Troubleshoot equipment failures and determine appropriate repairs.
- Repair, replace, adjust, and maintain motors, bearings, pumps, gearboxes, belts, chains, valves, cylinders, and other mechanical components.
- Perform routine inspections of machinery and equipment to identify potential problems.
- Complete scheduled preventive maintenance activities accurately and on time.
- Respond promptly to equipment breakdowns and production maintenance needs.
- Work closely with Operations to minimize equipment downtime and production interruptions.
- Assist with equipment installations, modifications, upgrades, and facility improvement projects.
- Perform basic welding, fabrication, cutting, and mechanical repairs as needed.
- Maintain and repair hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Assist with facility maintenance, including doors, lighting, plumbing, and other general building repairs as needed.
- Maintain tools, equipment, maintenance areas, and spare parts in an organized and safe condition.
- Document completed maintenance activities, repairs, inspections, and parts used.
- Identify recurring equipment problems and recommend corrective or preventive solutions.
- Assist with maintaining appropriate inventory levels of critical maintenance parts and supplies.
- Follow lockout/tagout (LOTO) procedures and all other required safety practices.
- Comply with OSHA requirements and all Lincoln Manufacturing safety policies and procedures.
- Immediately report unsafe conditions, equipment concerns, incidents, and hazards.
- Participate in safety meetings, training, and continuous improvement initiatives.
- Perform other maintenance-related duties as assigned.
What We're Looking For
Preferred Qualifications:
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Technical, vocational, industrial maintenance, or mechanical training preferred.
- 3+ years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience preferred.
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing manufacturing or heavy industrial equipment.
- Strong mechanical aptitude and troubleshooting skills.
- Working knowledge of hydraulic and pneumatic systems.
- Basic electrical troubleshooting knowledge preferred.
- Welding and fabrication experience preferred.
- Experience with motors, pumps, bearings, gearboxes, conveyors, and related industrial components.
- Understanding of preventive maintenance practices.
- Knowledge of OSHA requirements and lockout/tagout procedures.
- Ability to read equipment manuals, schematics, diagrams, and work instructions.
- Ability to safely operate hand tools, power tools, and maintenance equipment.
- Strong problem-solving and organizational skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Dependable attendance and willingness to respond to changing operational priorities.

Physical Requirements
This is a hands-on position in an industrial manufacturing environment. The employee must be able to:
- Stand and walk for extended periods.
- Frequently bend, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and climb.
- Work from ladders or elevated areas when properly trained and authorized.
- Regularly use hand and power tools.
- Lift and/or move up to 50 pounds.
- Work around machinery and moving equipment.
- Wear required personal protective equipment (PPE).
- Perform work in varying temperatures and environmental conditions.

Work Environment
This position primarily works in an industrial manufacturing environment and may involve exposure to:

Required PPE must be worn at all times in designated areas.
The position may require overtime, weekend work, or availability outside normal working hours based on production and maintenance needs.
