Why You’ll Love Working Here
Are you tired of doing the same repetitive bench work or dealing with micro-management? Ready to take ownership of a fleet, build real skills, and keep critical equipment safe and on the road?
Join our team in Wilmington, NC, where your work directly impacts our day-to-day operations. Whether working on heavy-duty diesel engines or cutting-edge Compressed Natural Gas (CNG) systems, you’ll get hands-on experience, ongoing training, and a clear path to grow your mechanical career.
What You’ll Be Doing
As a Preventative Maintenance (PM) Mechanic, you won't just be swapping parts—you’ll be the frontline defender of our fleet's health and safety.
Hands-On Maintenance: Perform essential PM services, including tire, oil, filter, and brake inspections and replacements.
Diagnostics & Safety Inspections: Assist leadership and senior technicians with full-system inspections—from brake and emission systems to steering, engine components, and hydraulics.
Test & Diagnose: Take trucks on test drives to diagnose potential issues, verify repairs, and ensure everything is 100% "road ready."
DOT & Compliance Checks: Conduct routine DOT, PM, and safety inspections under guided supervision to meet the highest safety standards.
Tech & Tools: Use modern diagnostic software and complete digital work orders, keep track of parts, and handle shop administration efficiently.
Continuous Learning: Participate actively in shop training and development opportunities to expand your technical expertise into complex repair processes.
What We’re Looking For
Experience: 1+ years of entry-level mechanical experience or heavy equipment/automotive fleet maintenance.
Safety First: Working knowledge of DOT, OSHA, and state/federal safety regulations.
Tools & Tech: Computer literate, eager to learn diagnostic software, and comfortable reading service manuals and procedures.
Driver’s License: Valid driver's license required. Class A or B Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) is preferred (or the drive to obtain one within your first 6 months!).
Certifications: ASE certifications are a major plus!
Mindset: Strong communication skills, a team-first attitude, and a continuous desire to learn and master advanced diagnostics.
Physical Demands & Environment
Ability to stand, stoop, kneel, crouch, reach, and lift up to 50 lbs (push/pull up to 100 lbs).
Comfortable operating trucks, ladders, and shop equipment safely.
Dynamic shop environment—we keep a clean, safe, and organized work area!
