Rural King is seeking a Maintenance Associate to maintain a clean, safe, and well-organized store environment. This role supports routine cleaning, basic repairs, safety, and upkeep of the store and surrounding areas.

Responsibilities
What You'll Do
Cleaning & Maintenance
- Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and appearance of the store and surrounding areas by cleaning floors, restrooms, breakrooms, fixtures, displays, parking lots, and exterior areas; operating a floor scrubber; emptying trash; and restocking supplies.
- Perform basic maintenance and repairs, including changing light bulbs, addressing minor plumbing issues, and repairing damaged fixtures.
- Identify and report safety hazards, maintenance needs, and malfunctioning equipment.
Store Support
- Assist with unloading trucks, stocking, zoning, and other store activities as needed.
- Provide friendly and professional support to customers and associates.
- Participate in cross-training and required learning opportunities.
- Demonstrate Rural King’s values of People First, Integrity, Attitude, Initiative, Teamwork, Accountability, and Continuous Improvement.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Qualifications
Physical Requirements
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods.
- Ability to lift, push, and/or pull 30 pounds repetitively and 31–50 pounds intermittently.
- Ability to navigate and access all areas of the store and related facilities.
- Ability to perform cleaning, maintenance, and physical store-support tasks.
- Ability to communicate effectively with customers and associates.
- Close vision required for computer-related activities.
