As an AMO Technician, you will troubleshoot, test, assemble, disassemble, inspect, and repair electro‑mechanical equipment and assemblies. You will support maintenance and overhaul activities while ensuring products and equipment meet quality, safety, and operational requirements.
Working closely with technicians, engineering teams, and operational stakeholders, you will help maintain high standards of equipment performance and support continuous improvement across operations.
As an AMO Technician, you will be responsible for:
- Troubleshooting, testing, assembling, and disassembling electro‑mechanical assemblies and equipment.
- Performing visual inspections of components and assemblies to verify quality and compliance.
- Supporting repair, rework, and modification activities for non‑conforming equipment.
- Conducting complex diagnostic and testing activities with minimal supervision.
- Applying logical troubleshooting techniques to identify and resolve technical issues.
- Communicating technical findings and recommended corrective actions clearly and effectively.
- Supporting maintenance and overhaul activities in accordance with established procedures and quality standards.
- Reading and interpreting:
- Engineering drawings
- Wiring diagrams
- Assembly instructions
- Parts lists
- Technical documentation
- Following formal maintenance procedures and operational practices.
- Coaching and supporting other technicians in areas of demonstrated expertise.
- Ensuring compliance with all Health, Safety, and Environmental (HS&E) policies and procedures.
- Maintaining accurate maintenance, testing, and service records as required.
Fuel your passion
To be successful in this role, you will:
- Hold a Technical Diploma, Associate Degree, or equivalent qualification in Electrical, Mechanical, or a related technical discipline (preferred).
- Bring a minimum of 2 years of maintenance-related experience in an electro‑mechanical environment, or equivalent experience in industries such as:
- Oil & Gas
- Aerospace / Airlines
- Military
- Automotive
- Electronics Manufacturing
- Industrial Equipment
- Demonstrate advanced skills in:
- Soldering
- Electro‑mechanical assembly
- Electrical repairs
- Diagnostics and troubleshooting
- Be proficient in the use of:
- Multimeters
- Megohmmeters
- Hi-Pot testers
- Measurement and gauging equipment
- Have the ability to interpret engineering and electrical documentation accurately.
- Possess good computer literacy and experience using standard business software applications.
- Demonstrate strong analytical and problem‑solving capabilities.
- Have effective communication and teamwork skills.
- Show a commitment to quality, safety, and continuous improvement.
