Aircraft survivability equipment and countermeasures systems are critical technologies that provide the last line of defense for U.S. and allied pilots flying missions in harm’s way. You will play an integral role in designing, developing, testing, and fielding the complex hardware and software involved to deliver exceptional battlefield overmatch.
In this role, you will apply your skills in software development, software-hardware interactions, test equipment programming, and hardware emulation and develop expertise in how these technologies interact to deliver critical defense system capabilities.
You will work on currently fielded aircraft survivability equipment, including the air countermeasures dispensing system and its associated software, hardware, and test fixtures. You will also develop software, configure hardware, and perform testing to confirm system performance.

You Have:
1+ years of experience performing research, engineering, or technical support to U.S military systems such as aircraft systems, avionics systems, or countermeasures dispensing systems
Experience in software and firmware programming languages such as C, C++, 8051 Assembly, Python, or ADA
Experience working as part of an engineering team, communicating and thinking critically about mission objectives, and identifying potential development pathways that could meet program needs
Knowledge of hardware emulation systems, test equipment, and development of test plans, scripts, software, or hardware
Ability to apply modern software development best practices and techniques to develop and configure software, analyze and resolve bugs and defects, and develop associated technical manuals and codebase documentation
Ability to be motivated to learn and develop expertise in avionics and aircraft survivability equipment and demonstrate commitment to the mission
Ability to obtain a Secret clearance
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Science
Nice If You Have:
Experience performing software, hardware, or test development on the ALE-47 countermeasure dispensing system
Experience providing technical support to Foreign Military Sales ALE-47 operators
Ability to demonstrate a high degree of professionalism
Secret clearance

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual’s particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $55,200.00 to $126,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen’s total compensation package for employees.
