As a Senior Manager, Employee Relations Advisor, you will partner with Human Resources Business Partners and other HR Centers of Expertise to resolve complex employee relations matters, lead workplace investigations, advise on performance management, and reduce employment-related risk. You will use sound judgment, analytical thinking, and influential communication to help leaders make informed decisions and strengthen the employee experience.
Key Outcomes:
- Advise and coach people leaders on corrective action, performance improvement, written warnings, and terminations in alignment with the firm’s Corrective Action Philosophy.
- Lead timely, thorough, and objective workplace investigations involving employee concerns, including allegations of harassment, discrimination, and retaliation, using effective interviewing, documentation, and case management practices.
- Apply employment law, regulatory compliance, and HR policy knowledge to promote fair, consistent, and well-reasoned decisions.
- Use conflict mediation and de-escalation skills to address sensitive employee matters and support constructive resolution.
- Analyze exit interview feedback, survey data, case information, and recurring themes to identify root causes, develop insights, and recommend practical solutions.
- Partner across HR, Legal, and the extended HR Risk team to support first line of defense activities, mitigate employment-related risk, and respond to litigation matters, including discovery, preparation, and company representation when needed.
- Build manager capability through individual coaching and facilitation of training on employee relations, HR policies, conflict resolution, and performance management.
- Provide Human Resources Business Partners and business leaders with strategic insights on employee relations themes, organizational effectiveness, and emerging risk.
- Maintain clear, accurate case documentation in ServiceNow and support team members through case reviews, knowledge sharing, and documentation guidance.
- Draft, revise, implement, and maintain corporate policies and related processes to support clear expectations and consistent execution.
- Develop and implement process improvements that strengthen service, improve consistency, and reduce risk.
- Lead employee relations workstreams for acquisitions, integrations, and other HR projects based on business needs.

Required Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and relevant experience.
- 6+ years of employee relations experience applying sound judgment to complex workplace matters.
- Demonstrated skill leading workplace investigations related to Equal Employment Opportunity matters, including planning investigations, interviewing involved parties, evaluating information, and producing clear, objective documentation.
- Demonstrated knowledge of employment law and regulatory compliance, with experience applying requirements to employee relations decisions and risk mitigation.
- Experience drafting, revising, implementing, and interpreting corporate policies, procedures, or employee handbooks.
- Experience coaching people leaders and facilitating management training on employee relations, policy, conflict resolution, or performance management.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Employee relations experience supporting a geographically dispersed, large, or complex organization.
- Experience as a people manager or demonstrated skill developing others through coaching, guidance, or peer support.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills, including the ability to explain complex or sensitive topics clearly to varied audiences.
- Demonstrated influencing skills and executive presence when advising leaders through complex, sensitive, or ambiguous situations.
- Advanced analytical thinking and problem-solving skills, including root cause analysis and the ability to translate findings into clear recommendations.
- Ability to manage multiple priorities, maintain thorough documentation, and follow through in a time-sensitive environment.
- Experience partnering cross-functionally with Human Resources Business Partners, Legal, Risk, or other HR specialties.
- Experience using ServiceNow or another HR case management tracking system.
- Familiarity with the financial services industry.
- Advanced degree in Human Resources or a related field.
