Description

JLL empowers you to shape a brighter way.

Our people at JLL are shaping the future of real estate for a better world by combining world class services, advisory and technology for our clients. We are committed to hiring the best, most talented people and empowering them to thrive, grow meaningful careers and to find a place where they belong.  Whether you’ve got deep experience in commercial real estate, skilled trades or technology, or you’re looking to apply your relevant experience to a new industry, join our team as we help shape a brighter way forward.

The Regional Event Manager, APAC owns the overall standardization, quality, operational governance, and continuous improvement of event and onsite delivery across all Stripe offices in the APAC region. Acting as the regional SPOC, subject matter expert, coach, and community lead, this role establishes regional parity with AMER and EMEA event operations.

The position ensures that all in-office events and team onsites—from routine gatherings to high-visibility, executive, and cross-functional programs—are delivered consistently according to global policy, service principles, and performance SLAs.

Additionally, this role provides operational continuity and front-of-house/administrative support for the Bengaluru office team.

Key Responsibilities

1. Regional Event Quality Control & Governance

  • Daily Ticket & Tracker Audits: Conduct daily (not weekly) system audits of incoming event tickets in Summit (Stripe’s event intake system) and ensure site trackers are up to date across all APAC locations.
  • SLA Enforcement: Drive strict adherence to regional SLAs:
    • Initial Acknowledgment: 1 business day for standard requests; immediate triage for same-week/same-day escalations.
    • Substantive Follow-Up: 1 business day (<3 weeks out), 2 business days (3–8 weeks out), or 1 week (>8 weeks out).
    • Escalation Path: Maintain a strict 48-hour SLA for unresolved risks or policy triggers.
  • Playbook & SOP Ownership: Own and maintain regional event SOPs, training materials, and intake workflows. Ensure standard operating procedures are easily executable by any local DRI.

2. High-Profile Program & Multi-Site Delivery

  • Program Execution Lead: Directly lead and coordinate delivery for high-visibility, high-touch, and complex events across APAC, including Convergence, Executive Visits, Board/VIP Events, EBC Visits, SKO, and Summer Parties.
  • Cross-Functional Orchestration: Serve as the regional nexus between cross-functional partner teams:
    • AV / IT: Tag and align AV DRIs via Summit/Jira for specialty spaces (EPS, EDU, All-Hands), recordings, and hybrid setups.
    • Corporate Security: Ensure guest lists are submitted via Jira 1+ week prior for external events, enforce alcohol/bartender rules (e.g., third-party licensed bartenders for 50+ external attendees with alcohol), and manage access control.
    • EHS (Environmental Health & Safety): Review medium/high safety risk triggers (open flames, space alterations, heavy equipment, over-capacity) and collaborate with EHS DRIs.
    • Food & Catering: Coordinate catering pilots, vendor logistics, and budget tracking.
  • Risk Mitigation & Decision Making: Evaluate request feasibility against the 5-Question Review Framework (Policy, Relevance, Operational Feasibility, Dependencies, Governance) and process LT/OG/CEO exception approvals when required.

3. Community Leadership, DRI Coaching & Global Alignment

  • DRI Coaching: Provide continuous 1:1 coaching, onboarding, and operational guidance for the 6 local Event DRIs (Workplace/Facility Coordinators) across APAC sites.
  • Regional Community: Facilitate bi-weekly APAC Event DRI alignment calls to share best practices, address common friction points, and review systemic issues.
  • Global Peer Sync: Participate in monthly synchronization calls with AMER and EMEA Event Managers to drive global parity, tool consistency, and playbook evolution.

4. Metrics, Budget & Strategic Initiatives

  • Reporting & Benchmarking: Maintain the regional KPI dashboard and synthesize monthly metrics for MBRs. Benchmark cost-per-event-type across APAC sites.
  • Budget Tracking: Track event execution spend against site-level budgets, flag overruns early, and enforce T&E policies.
  • Strategic Rollouts: Lead regional implementation of core programs, including the Trailhead office event directory, Kai skills rollout, site catering pilot expansions, and Site Support Profile definitions.
  • Site Onboarding: Own the end-to-end event operational setup for new Stripe APAC office openings.

5. Local Bengaluru Operations Support

  • Site Event Delivery: Provide hands-on coordination and execution support for Bengaluru office events
  • Operational Continuity & Coverage: Serve as secondary line of coverage for Bengaluru site team absences and leave (Workplace Manager, Receptionist,).
  • Administrative Support: Manage vendor relations, purchase order (PO) processing, front-of-house operations, and general administrative tasking.

Position Key Performance Indicators

  • Ticket Audit & SLA Compliance: 1 business day for ticket review/acknowledgement; 100% compliance with 48-hour escalation resolution.
  • Data Integrity: 100% compliance of Summit system ticket updates, active Slack communications, and regional event tracker alignment.
  • Escalation SLA: 48-hour maximum turnaround for regional approval/decline workflows.
  • Partner Alignment: Early, accurate tagging of AV, Security, Food, and EHS cross-functional DRIs prior to setting ticket status to "Scheduled".
  • DRI Capability & Adoption: 100% DRI participation in bi-weekly syncs and high baseline scores on quarterly playbook compliance reviews.
