As a Carpenter at Cleveland Clinic, you will play an essential role in creating and maintaining a safe, comfortable, and welcoming environment for our patients, visitors, and caregivers. Your craftsmanship and attention to detail help ensure our facilities remain functional, secure, and supportive of world-class patient care. In this role, you will respond to a variety of carpentry-related work orders and preventive maintenance tasks throughout the hospital. Responsibilities include maintaining and repairing fire doors, rolling doors, and other building components while helping ensure the facility operates safely and efficiently.

A caregiver in this position works 3rd shift 10:30pm-7am, Monday - Friday (will start Monday night, end Saturday morning at 7am).
A caregiver who excels in this role will:
Construct, erect, install and repair building structures, cabinetry, doors and hardware, flooring, ceilings and walls.
Maintain and repair existing structures and fixtures.
Install, maintain and repair casework, cabinets, countertops, floorings, walls, ceiling, masonry, doors and door hardware.
Perform structural remodeling, construction and demolition.
Perform regular inspections and repair of fire and smoke doors.
Work across multiple Cleveland Clinic locations as needed.
Minimum qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
A High School Diploma or GED
3 years of carpentry experience
Can read and comprehend blueprints/AutoCAD and use of power tools
Preferred qualifications for the ideal future caregiver include:
Certificate of an approved carpentry apprenticeship program or trade school
Physical Requirements:
Ability to perform work in a stationary position for extended periods
