Join our FP&A Team and advance your career as an FP&A RS&M PPM Senior Analyst!
This role serves as a trusted finance partner to the UK product supply business team, supporting the delivery of financial and operational insights by combining strong financial expertise with a growing understanding of business drivers. It is a key role in planning, performance insight and reporting of the UK product supply portfolio and providing key insights into the integrated value delivery of the UK supply chain. Providing commercial challenge, identifying risks and opportunities and ensuring accurate financial reporting, the role supports the RPT and RS&M business delivering integrated value.
In this role You will:
Planning & Performance Management: Lead and challenge the annual planning, forecasting and performance management process for the UK product supply business, including B2B, logistics and biofuels and the European RS&M costs activities, to provide robust financial insights, support strategic decision-making and deliver financial commitments
Performance insights: Provide insightful financial analysis and interpretation of business performance to identify risks, opportunities and performance drivers, enabling timely interventions and improved business outcomes
Accurate financial reporting: Perform the preparation, consolidation and communication of financial results, forecasts and business commentary to ensure informed decision-making and compliance with financial governance requirements
Business Partnership and challenge: Partners with business leaders and cross-functional partners to influence decisions, challenge assumptions and improve financial performance in support of strategic and operational objectives
Financial Integrity and control: Ensure financial transactions and reporting are completed with accuracy, transparency and adherence to financial policies and control requirements to safeguard business performance and reputation.
Continuous improvement: Promote process simplification and continuous improvement across finance and the wider business to strengthen financial understanding and analytics and support sustainable performance.
What You will need to be successful:
University Degree or equivalent experience (preferable in finance).
Proven experience in finance, commercial or performance management
Solid understanding of data structures, financial reporting, and performance management processes
Knowledge in SAP (FI, PCA, BW, FEM, FBW/CFIN)
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with attention to detail
Excellent understanding of system controls, financial controls and risk assessment
Ability to translate complex data into clear insights for key collaborators
Collaborative attitude with strong stakeholder engagement across Finance and business teams
Proactive and solution-oriented approach, with ability to manage multiple priorities
Desirable criteria:
Strong understanding of bp’s supply chain and business processes driving financial delivery
Knowledge and understanding of financial and business data
Knowledge of financial accounting according to IFRS
Understanding of how Finance processes and systems operate, including key internal interfaces and with third party providers
