Description
The Business Manager FCFP Strategy, Performance & Excellence supports the Global Head of Strategy, Performance & Excellence in business steering, performance transparency, governance, and strategy execution across the global Strategy, Performance & Excellence department, and secondarily across the wider Global Financial Crime & Fraud Prevention (FCFP) organisation.
The role ensures that strategic priorities, regulatory commitments, and operational objectives are translated into credible plans, measurable outcomes, and decision-ready insights. The role also supports the Global Head Strategy, Performance & Excellence on general business management activities such as strategy implementation, communication, meeting preparations, offsites, KPI setting, strategy development, and ad hoc support.
The team
COO is committed to bringing customer value, operational efficiency, and scalable operations for the bank: Fast, Easy, Caring, and Secure service, 24/7, fully scaled, and powered by market-leading tools.
Financial Crime & Fraud Prevention (FCFP) is part of COO and is a first line of defence organisation. It leads the standardisation of related processes, enhanced controls, shared tooling, and the optimisation of operations across all business lines, helping ING achieve a more robust Financial Crime Prevention & Fraud environment that contributes to meeting regulatory requirements while delivering customer value.
Within Global FCFP, we are organised around services: Customer Due Diligence, Transaction Monitoring, Screening, Client Tax and Fraud. In addition, global supporting functions are critical in ensuring effectiveness, excellence, oversight and control, while enabling the business.
The Strategy, Performance & Excellence function consolidates the horizontal capabilities of:
Governance & Control
Service Excellence
Quality Management
Global Remediation Analysis & Oversight
Customer Experience & Complaints
Business & Performance Management for all FCFP services
You will work closely together with the Global Head Strategy, Performance & Excellence and the FCFP Business Performance Office Lead and interact with other Global FCFP MT (-1), COO MT members and their business managers.
You will hierarchically report to the FCFP Business Performance Office Lead.
Roles and responsibilities
As Business Manager FCFP Strategy, Performance & Excellence, you will:
Drive performance management, management information and business steering by ensuring leadership has timely, accurate and decision-ready insights to steer the business.
Manage the Dynamic Plan and budget for EUR and FTE within the SPE department.
Support planning, prioritisation and execution oversight of strategic and transformation projects.
Monitor, challenge and steer SPE projects, strategic initiatives and key deliverables.
Support wider Global FCFP business management activities on financials and senior management presentations.
Contribute to continuous improvement and optimisation of ways of working by strengthening how the business runs, not just what it delivers.
Identify opportunities to streamline governance, processes and enhance operational effectiveness.
Ensure alignment and flow of information across senior stakeholders and teams through effective stakeholder management and communication.
Represent the Global Head Strategy, Performance & Excellence in projects and other priorities.
Support strategy implementation, communication, meeting preparations, offsites, KPI setting, strategy development and ad hoc business management activities.
