Software Developer

### About this opportunity

We are looking for a Software Developer to contribute to the design, development, and maintenance of Ericsson’s next-generation network products and solutions.

In this role, you will work closely with experienced engineers across the full software development lifecycle — from understanding requirements and contributing to solution design to implementation, testing, verification, and support.

Our main development language is C++, so hands-on C++ experience is required. Experience with other object-oriented programming languages, particularly Java, is considered a strong advantage.

The role can be based in Ericsson Turkey offices in Istanbul, Izmir, or Ankara and follows a hybrid working model.

### What you will do

• Contribute to Baseband software development and support the delivery of features for next-generation network solutions.

• Review and clarify requirements together with the team and translate them into clean, maintainable software designs.

• Design, implement, test, and maintain C++ software modules with a focus on code quality, performance, reliability, and maintainability.

• Support troubleshooting and debugging activities by analyzing logs, reproducing issues, and proposing fixes or improvements for existing components.

• Participate in software verification and unit testing activities throughout the development lifecycle.

• Collaborate with cross-functional and distributed teams throughout development and product delivery processes.

• Contribute to continuous improvement by identifying opportunities to enhance product quality, development tools, and team workflows.

• Create and maintain clear technical documentation.

• Continuously develop technical knowledge in C++, real-time systems, software development practices, and telecom technologies.

### You will bring

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Computer Engineering, Electronics and Communications Engineering, or a related field.

• Typically 2+ years of professional software development experience.

• Hands-on experience in C++ development with a strong understanding of object-oriented programming principles.

• Experience with unit testing frameworks such as Google Test/Mock for C++ or JUnit for Java.

• Exposure to enterprise software development and product delivery processes, including code reviews, CI/CD, releases, and issue tracking.

• Familiarity with Agile ways of working, such as Scrum or Kanban.

• Experience with Linux, Git/Gerrit, and Jenkins is considered a strong advantage.

• Experience with real-time systems or multi-threaded applications is considered a plus.

• Knowledge of IP networking technologies, including TCP/IP, routing, and sockets, is considere
