Quuppa is looking for a Technical Support Intern to join our Services team at our Finland HQ. 

This internship is designed for a student who is in the final stages of their studies and is interested in gaining hands-on experience in technical customer support, software and system testing, troubleshooting, and customer-facing technical work. The role requires a commitment of at least 20 hours per week (approximately 3 days per week) for a minimum of 6 months. We understand that you’ll be balancing your studies, and we are happy to discuss how the schedule can work alongside your academic commitments.

Primary responsibilities consist of delivering technical support for Quuppa products alongside support for third-party resold systems and solutions, including testing, troubleshooting, instructing customers on product functionality, delivering training, and contributing to support program development.

Your tasks may include but are not limited to the following:

• Participate in QA regression testing of a third-party CRS platform, including testing its demos and supporting related activities
• Assist with preparing and delivering customer demonstrations, tailored to specific industry use cases
• Provide technical support to customers remotely, working together with experienced team members to investigate and resolve issues
• Learn to understand customer requirements and challenges, and help identify suitable technical solutions
• Help validate customer implementations and identify potential issues or alternative solutions
• Assist with troubleshooting and debugging system architecture and integrations
• Maintain positive relationships with customers through clear, professional and helpful communication
• Document findings, solutions and support activities to help improve our internal knowledge and support processes

You will work closely with experienced colleagues and gain practical experience with Quuppa products, partner solutions, and customer environments. As you develop your product knowledge and confidence in the role, you will have opportunities to take on increasing responsibility and contribute more independently to customer projects and support activities.

You will not be expected to know everything at the start. We are looking for someone who is curious, willing to learn, comfortable asking questions, and interested in developing both their technical and customer-facing skills.

The role can also provide a good foundation for a future career in areas such as technical support, customer engineering, solution engineering, system engineering or other technical customer-facting roles.

What we are looking for

An ideal candidate for this role is someone who is

• Currently studying engineering, computer science, information technology, or related field, preferably in the final stages of their studies;
• Willing to commit at least 20 hours per week (approximately 3 days per week) for a minimum of 6 months;
• Interested in technology and motivated to learn how software and technical solutions are used in real customer environments;
• Analytical and hands-on, with a structured approach to problem solving;
• Curious and willing to investigate problems, rather than giving up when something does not work;
• Comfortable communicating with both technical and non-technical people;
• Organized and able to follow up on tasks and communicate progress;
• Comfortable working as part of a team and asking for help when needed;
• Fluent in spoken and written English

The following qualities are considered advantages

Any previous coursework, projects, hobby projects, or practical experience with the following would be a plus:

• Technical customer support or other customer-facing technology experience;
• Linux and Windows servers, including basic configuration and troubleshooting;
• Software development and APIs, such as REST API, UDP streaming or web servers;
• Computer networks and IT infrastructures, including TCP/UDP/IP, DHCP, routers, switches;
• Cloud technologies such as AWS, Azure or private cloud environments
• Virtualization and containerization technologies such as Docker, VMWare ESXi, Hyper-V
