Role Summary
The Platform Product Director is responsible for shaping and executing the strategy of Huntington enterprise technology platforms in order to enable multiple products and teams to build, deploy, and operate software. This leader will partner across enterprise business, product, and technology teams to ensure platforms are structured, governed, and optimized for growth, efficiency and consistent execution.
Key Responsibilities
- Establish and communicate the long-term vision, goals, and multi-quarter roadmap for the assigned shared technology platforms, aligning enterprise objectives and product team needs. Partner with engineering, security, data, operations, and product teams to set direction, resolve dependencies, and reduce integration friction.
- Build and maintain a clear roadmap, prioritize features based on business impact, reliability, and developer experience, and manage trade-offs between speed, cost, and quality. Ensure the platforms are compliant with security, privacy and regulatory requirements, as well as enterprise architecture standards.
- Build, coach, and lead a team of platform product managers, colleagues and cross-functional contributors, fostering innovation and continuous improvement. Build and scale leadership capability across managers and teams.
- Drive development of OKRs at the platform level, execute against those OKRs, measure adoption, performance and cost efficiency. Own platform governance for APIs, developer experience, standards, and compliance, ensuring consistency and adoption across assigned platforms.
- Engage with internal and external stakeholders to align priorities, resolve conflicts, communicate priority changes and drive buy-in for platform initiatives.
- Define and track platform adoption, reliability, performance, and cost efficiency metrics to measure success.
- Integrate enterprise goals into platform strategy around GenAI and Agent usage, model training, inference optimization, Model Context Protocols (MCP), and AI controls, if applicable to role.
- Perform other duties as assigned.
Preferred Qualifications
- Advanced degree (e.g., MBA, MS, or equivalent)
- Experience planning and executing long-term platform strategies, as well as leading at scale through executive communication, defining product direction, embedding AI capabilities and driving alignment across large, complex stakeholder groups.
- Demonstrated success working across Technology and business product organizations, influencing executive and senior stakeholders and driving alignment.
- Demonstrated success and expertise in large organizations or multiple technology domains in the delivery of complex, high-quality cross-team solutions.
- Deep understanding of APIs, tooling and developer workflows, as well as cloud infrastructure.
- Proven expertise and understanding of regulated environments with a deep understanding of regulatory, risk, security, and compliance.
- Strong experience managing complex portfolios and organizational priorities; expertise operating in product aligned and agile delivery models.
- Demonstrated ability leading and building high performing teams, and fostering a culture of accountability, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Strong expertise in governance, vendor management, and cross-functional collaboration, including negotiating outcomes, resolving conflict, and ensuring delivery excellences across internal and external partners.
- Strong demonstrated experience with MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and O365.
- Proven ability shaping enterprise strategy by aligning technology investments to business priorities, anticipating market shifts, and influencing executive and senior leadership decisions.
- Proven ability to translate strategy into practical execution and measurable outcomes.
Basic Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in business, technology, or a related field, or an equivalent combination of education and experience
- 12+ years of experience progressively responsible experience in strategy, transformation, product management, technology, or a related field and 5 years of prior experience managing teams. Typically seeking 15+ years of experience, as well as 7 years of experience managing team
