SAP Manufacturing Specialist - PE, QM & PPDS (Freelance possible)

About the role

This role focuses on production-centric SAP processes in a manufacturing environment, with a strong emphasis on SAP PE, QM and PPDS.

You lead and contribute to end-to-end SAP implementations across the full lifecycle: fit-gap analysis, configuration, functional design, training, UAT, data collection and migration, go-live support, and final documentation. You work closely with logistics, controlling, procurement and other business areas to ensure reliable SAP integration across domains.

In collaboration with cross-functional stakeholders and production teams, you help define detailed, scalable and sustainable processes. You can quickly understand complex business flows, challenge stakeholders to sharpen their needs, and convert those requirements into structured SAP solutions in both template-driven and customized environments.

You also support business users through clear communication, maintain alignment between domains, and contribute to successful deployments in an international context.

Key responsibilities

• Drive and support SAP delivery throughout the full implementation lifecycle, from analysis to go-live and documentation.
• Design, improve and support production-related SAP processes within a manufacturing setting.
• Translate business requirements into robust functional solutions across connected SAP domains.
• Collaborate with stakeholders from logistics, controlling, procurement and production to safeguard process consistency and integration.
• Contribute to deployment activities, including additional travel when needed during go-live periods.

Scope

• Production Execution (PE): strong expertise in SAP PE processes in a manufacturing context, including shop floor integration and execution flows.
• Quality Management (QM): solid experience in SAP QM, ideally combined with integration with Labvantage or a similar LIMS platform.
• PPDS: good understanding of Production Planning and Detailed Scheduling, with the ability to link planning and execution processes.
• Experience with EWM integration is an advantage.
• Experience in greenfield implementations is a plus.

Work environment

You work in an international, multicultural environment with regular on-site presence in Hoboken and travel when required, including possible extra travel during go-live phases.

📝 Your profile

• Proven experience with end-to-end SAP implementations.
• Strong expertise in SAP integration across domains, including logistics, controlling and procurement.
• Hands-on experience with SAP PE, QM and PPDS in a manufacturing company.
• PPDS knowledge is preferred but not mandatory.
• Familiarity with integration with Labvantage or a comparable LIMS platform, and preferably EWM.
• Ability to debug and troubleshoot SAP issues is a plus.
• You communicate clearly, in a structured and business-oriented way, and can explain complex solutions simply to stakeholders.
• You are comfortable challenging the business to uncover underlying requirements.
• You work effectively with both business stakeholders and technical colleagues and build strong working relationships.
• You show a proactive mindset, resilience under pressure and flexibility when priorities change.
• You are willing to be on site in Hoboken every week.
• You are fluent in English.
• Good French is required to support project activities for the Grenoble deployment.
• Polish is a plus.
• A bachelor's degree in IT, Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience.
• SAP certification is an asset, but hands-on experience is considered more important.
