We are seeking a highly proactive Senior Project Manager to join the EverCommerce Payments PMO. This organization is focused on delivering unparalleled value to our customers through frictionless embedded payments and commerce solutions at scale. You will play a key role delivering projects to drive scalable growth across the EverCommerce Solution Organizations. This role is ideal for someone who thrives in fast-paced environments, takes extreme ownership of complex initiatives, and confidently drives cross-functional teams toward successful delivery. You will lead high-visibility payment initiatives spanning product, engineering, operations, customer success, and executive leadership while ensuring projects remain on track and stakeholders remain accountable.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve as the single point of accountability for multiple strategic payment initiatives from initiation through successful delivery.
  • Drive accountability with cross-functional teams, ensuring commitments are met regardless of organizational level or reporting structure.
  • Identify project risks early, proactively remove blockers, and escalate issues with mitigation plans and recommended solutions.
  • Lead executive-level status meetings with confidence, providing concise updates, clear decisions, and actionable next steps.
  • Maintain complete ownership of project plans, dependencies, risks, decisions, and action items.
  • Build scalable project governance through clear plans, transparent reporting, proactive risk management, and actionable executive communications.
  • Build and maintain positive working relationships with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Lead project retrospectives to identify areas for improvement and implement changes as necessary.

Skills and Experience needed for success in this role:

  • Bachelor's degree in business, engineering, computer science, related field and/or PMP is preferred
  • Minimum of 5+ years of experience in project management
  • Experience delivering complex payment processing, merchant onboarding, or embedded payment integrations is strongly preferred
  • Advanced proficiency with Asana is required. Candidate should have experience building project plans, managing dependencies, dashboards, reporting, automations, portfolios, and executive reporting
  • Comfortable presenting to Directors, Vice Presidents, and executive leadership while facilitating difficult conversations, resolving conflicts, and driving decisions.
  • Ability to operate effectively with ambiguity and create structure where one does not yet exist.
  • Demonstrated ability to prioritize competing initiatives in a rapidly changing environment.
  • Demonstrated history of successfully delivering multiple complex, cross-functional initiatives with measurable business outcomes.

Where: This is a remote, US based position, some travel required for quarterly events and on-sight partner meetings. The EverCommerce team is distributed globally, with teams in the U.S., Canada, the U.K., Jordan, New Zealand, and Australia. With a widely distributed team, we are used to working remotely across different time zones. This role can be based anywhere in the United States – if you’re close to one of our offices, we can set you up in-office or you can work 100% remotely. Please note that you must be eligible to work without sponsorship to qualify for this position, and this role may require travel to our Corporate Headquarters in Denver, Colorado, or to other office locations around North America.

Compensation: The target base compensation for this position is $100,000 to $110,000 USD per year in most US locations. Final offer amounts are determined by multiple factors including location, local market variances, and candidate experience and expertise, and may vary from the amounts listed above.
