Description

Who is VetEvolve?

VetEvolve is a network of veterinary practices built to support the people delivering care and the practices they lead. We combine clinical insight with operational strength to give our teams the support, tools, and structure they need to thrive, without losing what makes each practice unique. We are intentionally focused on growth, not as an end in itself, but as a way to strengthen our practices, expand access to care, and create more opportunities for our teams.

Guided by our values: Care First. Better Together. Grow Forward. Own It. We create an environment where veterinary professionals can do their best work, build meaningful careers, and deliver exceptional care. Growth with intention. Care without compromise.

  • Maintain and interpret the employee handbook and HR policies.
  • Provide consistent policy guidance to managers and employees.
  • Monitor policy trends and recommend updates to remain compliant and aligned with business needs.

  • Partner with Marketing, Payroll, and other teams to deliver a smooth and engaging onboarding experience.
  • Continuously improve onboarding processes to enhance efficiency and effectiveness.
  •

Benefits Administration

  • Serve as a primary contact for benefits-related questions and concerns.
  • Support the annual Open Enrollment process in partnership with the benefits broker.
  • Resolve escalated issues with carriers and ensure timely resolution.

Ancillary Benefits Program Management

  • Develop and manage ancillary benefit programs (e.g., scrubs, CE, tuition reimbursement).
  • Serve as the primary contact for related policies and employee questions.

Employment Law & Compliance

  • Apply knowledge of federal and state labor laws, including FMLA, ADA, FLSA, and EEO.
  • Conduct internal research and escalate complex legal concerns to appropriate parties.
  • Maintain accurate documentation of compliance-related processes and communications.

Workers' Compensation

  • Coordinate initial reporting and documentation of work-related injuries.
  • Liaise with insurance carriers and site managers to support return-to-work and modified duty programs.

Unemployment & Claims Handling

  • 3–5 years of experience in a human resources generalist or similar role, with a strong understanding of core HR functions.
  • Hands-on experience with leave of absence management, ADA accommodations, and benefits administration.
  • Solid knowledge of federal and multi-state employment laws and regulations (FMLA, ADA, FLSA, EEO, etc.).
  • Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to build trust and communicate effectively with employees at all levels.
  • Exceptional attention to detail, organizational skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
