Position Overview
Pyramid Healthcare is seeking a Full-Time Maintenance Technician to support the day-to-day operations of our Agawam facility. This position plays a vital role in maintaining a safe, clean, and well-functioning environment for our clients and staff. The ideal candidate is dependable, hands-on, and experienced in general building maintenance and repairs.
Schedule
- Monday–Friday, 7:00 AM – 3:30 PM
- Rotating on-call responsibilities
Compensation
$25.00–$28.00 per hour, based on experience.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general building maintenance, repairs, and preventative maintenance.
- Complete carpentry, painting, drywall, and basic plumbing repairs.
- Perform light electrical work, when qualified, including replacing outlets, fixtures, switches, and lighting.
- Install, repair, and maintain plumbing fixtures, fans, and other facility equipment.
- Maintain the interior and exterior appearance and functionality of the facility.
- Troubleshoot and repair laundry equipment and other building systems as needed.
- Safely operate and maintain hand and power tools, including saws, drills, and other maintenance equipment.
- Track labor, materials, and completed work orders accurately.
- Ensure compliance with safety standards and maintain a clean, hazard-free environment.
- Assist with training or directing maintenance helpers when appropriate.
- Perform other duties as assigned to support facility operations.
Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Valid driver's license required.
- Previous maintenance, facilities, or handyman experience preferred.
- Working knowledge of carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and general building maintenance.
- Ability to safely use hand and power tools.
- Strong troubleshooting, organizational, and time management skills.
- Commitment to workplace safety and quality workmanship.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a collaborative team.
