Patient Coordinator - Bank

Cromwell Hospital, London SW5 0TU
Hourly rate : £14.87 per hour

Shifts between 7.30am – 8pm

As a patient co-ordinator, you'll provide high-quality administrative support to our team, ensuring patients receive safe, effective and compassionate care throughout their treatment journey.

Role Overview

At Bupa Cromwell Hospital, our vision is simple: "Every Patient is a VIP." As a Patient Coordinator, you'll be the first point of contact for patients, visitors and consultants, delivering an exceptional customer experience while supporting the smooth running of outpatient services. You'll play a key role in coordinating appointments, patient administration and billing processes, ensuring every patient journey is seamless and professional.

What you'll do

  • Welcome patients, visitors and consultants in a friendly and professional manner.
  • Deliver outstanding customer service in line with our "Every Patient is a VIP" service vision.
  • Register patients accurately and maintain up-to-date patient records.
  • Coordinate appointments, follow-up bookings and outpatient clinic schedules.
  • Liaise with consultants, clinical teams and hospital departments to support patient pathways.
  • Handle enquiries, telephone calls and reception-based queries efficiently.
  • Process payments, verify funding arrangements and maintain accurate financial records.
  • Provide administrative support to outpatient clinics and ensure documentation is completed accurately.
  • Support compliance with hospital policies, governance standards and patient confidentiality requirements.

What you'll bring

  • Previous experience in a healthcare administration, reception, customer service or patient-facing role.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong organisational skills with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
  • High attention to detail and experience handling confidential information.
  • Good IT and administrative skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary team.

Desirable:

  • Experience within a hospital or private healthcare environment.
  • Knowledge of patient administration systems and medical terminology.
  • Experience processing healthcare payments and liaising with insurers.
