Private Swim Instructor

Weekend Requirements: As Needed | Work Hours: 20 | Status: Per Diem/PRN - 0.0 FTE (less than 40 hours per pay period) | Entity: Owensboro Health Medical Group | Department: Aquatics Healthpark

Job Summary:

Provides private swimming instruction and leads aquatic activities for various populations.

Job Responsibilities:

• Develops aquatic programs and activities for populations of varying age, interest, and ability.

• Instructs individuals or groups in swimming and aquatic activities.

• Monitors pool area for safety violations and persons in distress and responds appropriately.

• Provides underwater video analysis and instruction for various populations when appropriate.

Skills and Attributes:

• Requires critical thinking skills and decisive judgment.

• Works under minimal supervision.

• Must be able to work in a stressful environment and take appropriate action.

• High school diploma, General Equivalency Diploma (GED) or higher preferred     

Licensure/Certification/Registration

• Heartsaver CPR AED and First Aid Certification required within 90 days of employment in this position
