About the Role

At BOQ Group, we're creating a better way to bank and we're looking for a Reconciliations Officer to join our Finance Operations team on a 12-month Maximum Term Contract. This is a fantastic opportunity to build your experience within a collaborative and supportive team while playing an important role in ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial transactions across BOQ Group's portfolio of brands.

As a Reconciliations Officer, you'll play an important role in managing the flow of funds across multiple banking and payment systems, ensuring transactions are accurately reconciled and any discrepancies are investigated and resolved. You'll be responsible for completing daily and monthly reconciliations across a range of accounts, payment streams and clearing systems, while identifying root causes, resolving exceptions and working closely with stakeholders across the business to drive positive outcomes.

Over time, you'll become a trusted subject matter expert for your allocated reconciliation portfolio, helping maintain strong financial controls, operational excellence and the integrity of financial transactions across BOQ Group. No two days are the same. You'll develop a deep understanding of your portfolio while monitoring clearing accounts, balancing transactions, supporting month-end activities and ensuring the accurate movement of funds across BOQ Group brands.

This role offers the opportunity to work with a highly experienced team, gain exposure to a variety of banking operations and contribute to the successful implementation and evolution of reconciliation platforms and processes across the Group.

About You

You – our preferred candidate will ideally bring previous reconciliation experience from a banking, operational finance or similar environment but this experience is not necessary.  If you have general banking background & you enjoy working in a role where accuracy, investigation and problem solving are part of your everyday work then this is the role for you!

You're someone who can confidently manage your workload, work independently and remain curious when things don't quite balance. You enjoy getting to the root cause of issues, collaborating with others to find solutions and building strong working relationships across different areas of the business.

Experience working with reconciliation systems, payment processes, settlements, financial operations or general ledger reconciliations will be highly regarded.

Strong Excel skills and an understanding of banking operations, transaction flows and financial controls would also be advantageous.

Most importantly, you'll bring a proactive mindset, a commitment to continuous improvement and a genuine desire to contribute to a supportive and high-performing team. Want to make an impact behind the scenes of banking operations while further developing your reconciliation expertise? We'd love to hear from you!
