Job Summary
Join Our TeamAs a Food Service Worker, you’ll play an important role in creating a positive patient experience by providing friendly, timely, and accurate meal service. You’ll prepare and deliver patient trays, assist with menu selections, and ensure meals meet each patient’s specific diet order and needs.
What You’ll Do
Prepare, assemble, and deliver patient meals, beverages, and snacks according to diet orders.
Assist patients with menu selections and provide friendly, personalized service.
Communicate diet changes and patient food-related concerns with the appropriate care team.
Ensure each patient receives the correct meal and provide assistance with opening packages and condiments as needed.
Collect trays and maintain clean, organized galleys and nourishment areas.
Stock, rotate, and monitor food, supplements, and supplies, including removing expired items.
Build strong relationships with patients, families, clinical staff, and coworkers.
Support the training and orientation of new team members as needed.
Provide age-appropriate service while following department policies,
procedures, and patient-care standards.

Qualifications
Education
High School Diploma or Equivalent required
Licenses and Credentials
ServSafe Food Handler Certification - ServeSafe National Restaurant Association preferred
Experience
directly related experience 5-7 years required
Knowledge, Skills and Abilities
- Ability to work independently but also be a team player.
- Moderate physical effort requiring long periods of standing, walking, and periodic lifting of 50 pounds or more.
