Job Description

As a Security Officer Full Time Access Control Console Operator in Orlando, FL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Manufacturing & Industrial, and more. As an Access Control Officer at a manufacturing and industrial location, you will help manage entry points, verify badges and visitor access, monitor alarms, and support a secure workplace. Using computer or tablet systems, you will provide outstanding customer service, communicate clearly, and respond to security-related concerns. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to clients by carrying out site-specific procedures, access-control policies, and emergency response activities at a manufacturing location.
• Monitor and control access at entry points by verifying credentials, maintaining visitor records, and directing employees, contractors, and delivery personnel in accordance with site procedures.
• Respond to access-related incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, promptly communicating observations to appropriate site contacts and Allied Universal leadership.
• Conduct regular and random patrols of assigned areas, including entrances, loading docks, parking areas, and the facility perimeter, to help deter unauthorized activity.
• Document incidents, access-control activity, and unusual observations accurately in required reports and logs.

Minimum Requirements:

• Comfortable using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• Possession of a guard card or license is preferred.
• Alarm panel experience is preferred.
• Customer service experience is preferred.
• Access control and badge experience is preferred.
• Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver’s license will be required for driving positions only.
