Role Overview:
We are looking for a dedicated, self-motivated, Data Engineer Intern to join our great team of engineers in building high-end, high-quality applications.
You will have the opportunity to work in an agile environment where you will team up with colleagues having experience in Data Warehouse, Machine Learning, Python and more.
The successful candidate should have technical and problem-solving skills, a positive and results driven attitude, a good communicator who can interact with both technical and non-technical people.
Exposure to emerging innovative technologies in business applications is an advantage!
Key Accountabilities & Responsibilities:
Work as an effective member of a scrum team - understanding and contributing to the agile delivery process.
To be able to identify risks and issues in a timely manner and communicate effectively to the Data Delivery Manager.
Write and maintain functional and technical specifications
Data enthusiast, fast learner.
Skills, Capabilities & Experience Required:
Essential:
Familiar with SQL
Familiar with ETL tools
Knowledge of object oriented or functional programming
Demonstrates good communication, interpersonal skills
Desirable:
Agile
Educated to degree level in a science or technology related field
Key Skills and Attributes:
Ability to work in a fast paced, team-oriented environment
Good written and verbal communication skills
Good analytical skills.
Enthusiasm for the software development process.
Proactive work ethic with the ability to deliver results and meet challenging deadlines
Good English language skills (speaking & writing)
