M53 - Full Stack Engineer

Overview

We are looking for a skilled Full Stack Engineer (Consultant) to support the design, development, deployment, and maintenance of enterprise applications. This role focuses on delivering modern, secure, and scalable web solutions while leveraging AI-assisted software development practices to improve engineering productivity, code quality, and delivery speed.

You will work across both frontend and backend technologies, collaborate with technical stakeholders on solution design, and contribute throughout the software development lifecycle—from implementation and testing to deployment, stabilization, and knowledge transfer. The ideal candidate is a hands-on software engineer with strong experience in Microsoft technologies, modern JavaScript frameworks, cloud services, DevOps, and secure software engineering.

Responsibilities

Full Stack Application Development

• Design, develop, enhance, and maintain modern web applications using .NET, C#, Python, React or Angular.
• Develop responsive, user-friendly frontend interfaces following modern UI/UX best practices.
• Build and maintain backend services, RESTful APIs, business logic, and system integrations.
• Develop scripts and interface solutions, including SFTP-based integrations where required.
• Design and integrate SQL databases while ensuring performance, reliability, and data integrity.
• Participate in technical solution design, architecture discussions, and implementation planning.

AI-Assisted Software Development

• Leverage AI-assisted development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Spec Kit, or equivalent to improve development efficiency.
• Apply prompt engineering techniques to accelerate coding, testing, debugging, documentation, and code reviews.
• Ensure AI-generated code complies with engineering standards, security policies, and governance requirements.
• Continuously evaluate AI-assisted development practices to improve software delivery quality and productivity.

DevOps & Cloud Engineering

• Configure and maintain CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Manage source code repositories, branching strategies (DEV/UAT/PRD), version control, and release management.
• Support application deployment and troubleshooting across development, testing, and production environments.
• Work with Azure services including Microsoft Entra ID, Managed Identity, Azure Key Vault, and Azure Government Cloud environments where applicable.
• Build, debug, and maintain Docker containers and Docker Compose configurations where required.

Testing, Deployment & Production Support

• Support User Acceptance Testing (UAT), environment setup, parameter configuration, and data validation.
• Perform smoke testing, defect investigation, bug fixing, and production deployment support.
• Provide post-deployment stabilization and production issue resolution.
• Monitor application performance and recommend continuous improvements for scalability, maintainability, and reliability.

Engineering Best Practices

• Participate in peer code reviews and technical walkthroughs.
• Ensure compliance with coding standards, secure development practices, audit requirements, and documentation standards.
• Apply secure coding principles including OWASP recommendations, secrets management, dependency management, and vulnerability remediation.
• Produce and maintain technical documentation, deployment guides, and knowledge transfer materials.
• Collaborate effectively with project managers, solution architects, business users, and cross-functional technical teams.

Requirements

• Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Information Technology, or a related discipline.
• Proven experience as a Full Stack Engineer or Software Engineer delivering enterprise web applications.
• Strong proficiency in .NET and C#, Python, SQL databases, React.js or Angular
• Experience using AI-assisted software development tools such as GitHub Copilot, Claude, Spec Kit, or similar.
• Experience working with Visual Studio Code and modern software development workflows.
• Experience configuring CI/CD pipelines using GitHub Actions or Azure DevOps.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Azure services, including Microsoft Entra ID, Managed Identity, Azure Key Vault, Azure Government Cloud (preferred)
• Experience with Git source control, branching strategies, pull requests, and release management.
• Knowledge of Docker, Docker Compose, and container debugging is advantageous.
• Understanding of REST APIs, backend integrations, scripting, and database development.
• Familiarity with secure software engineering practices including OWASP guidelines, secrets management, dependency hygiene, and secure coding principles.
• Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication skills with the ability to work effectively in Agile and collaborative environments.

Preferred Skills

• Experience working on Azure cloud-based enterprise applications.
• Exposure to AI governance, prompt engineering, and AI-assisted testing methodologies.
• Experience supporting application deployments across Development, UAT, and Production environments.
• Familiarity with enterprise security, audit, and compliance requirements.
• Experience in higher education, public sector, or government technology projects is an advantage.
