Nami Nori/Matsuyoi is looking for prep cooks with a passion for cooking and hospitality. No previous Japanese culinary experience required. We will train the ideal candidates who are eager to learn more about Japanese ingredients and cooking techniques. Nami Nori is the first to specialize in open-style sushi hand rolls in New York City. Our mission is to create a devoted fan following for temaki through “omotenashi”, the Japanese art of gracious hospitality. We are committed to creating great experiences for both guests and employees alike.

ABOUT YOU

• The ability to comprehend and follow verbal direction
• The ability to understand basic math
• The ability to work independently or as part of a team
• The ability to lift at least 30 pounds on a regular basis
• The ability to sit, bend, stoop, stand and perform extensive for 6-8 hours a day
