We are seeking a Structural Supervising Engineer to support nuclear plant modification work in our Charlotte, NC office. Responsibilities include supporting the development of nuclear plant modification packages and managing larger efforts with a team of structural engineers.
What You'll Do Here:
- Design, analysis and development of structural modifications for nuclear power plants.
- As required, function as the discipline leader for larger structural engineering efforts, supervise engineering and design personnel to perform various tasks on schedule and on budget.
- Utilize your professional engineering license to sign and seal structural drawings developed under your supervision.
- As required, coordinate interdisciplinary team of engineers and designers to complete project tasks on schedule and on budget.
- Review relevant codes and project specific procedures, design documents, specifications, and construction documents to support project tasks.
- Perform structural calculations, developing engineering reports, studies, specifications, and design drawings.
- Develop material and workhour estimates as well as engineering and design schedules
What You Bring To The Team:
- Education: Bachelor of Science degree in Civil/Structural Engineering from a four-year, accredited college or university.
- Minimum 10 years of relevant experience in structural engineering and design supporting nuclear modification work.
- Minimum 5 years in an engineering leadership position, managing engineering and design staff at the project level.
- Experience with industry standard engineering software such as STAAD Pro, MathCad, etc..
- The successful candidate must have strong communication and interpersonal skills and be capable of collaborating with the multi-discipline engineers and designers
- Professional Engineering (PE) license in US.
- Experience in seismic analysis and design of structures, systems, and components for nuclear power plants!
- Experience with ANSYS and SAP2000 is a plus!
- Experience working with Duke Energy (Nuclear) is a plus!
Base Salary Range: $160,000.00 -- $180,000.00 annually
