We're recruiting for an experienced Transport Planner to join a well-established Fine Art Shipping company based in Middlesex. This is a fast-paced role where you'll be responsible for planning daily transport operations, coordinating drivers and ensuring the safe and efficient movement of high-value items across the UK.

The Role

As a Transport Planner, you'll be responsible for organising daily collections, deliveries, installations and removals, ensuring jobs are completed efficiently while maintaining exceptional service and compliance standards.

Your responsibilities will include:

• Planning and scheduling daily transport operations
• Coordinating drivers, vehicles and specialist installation teams
• Optimising vehicle routes to maximise efficiency
• Monitoring transport activity and responding to operational changes
• Preparing and maintaining transport documentation
• Ensuring compliance with transport legislation and company procedures
• Tracking vehicle movements and providing operational updates
• Assisting with fleet planning and vehicle maintenance scheduling
• Working closely with customers and internal teams to ensure smooth delivery of projects

 

What We're Looking For

• Previous experience in transport planning or logistics
• Strong organisational and time management skills
• Good geographical knowledge of the UK road network
• Excellent communication and customer service skills
• Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities
• Strong problem-solving and decision-making skills
• Good IT skills, including Microsoft Office and Excel
