Job Summary
The Account Manager II, Nursing & Allied develops and manages relationships with healthcare facility clients to support contingent workforce and clinician staffing needs. This role serves as a strategic partner to clients by understanding workforce challenges, identifying staffing solutions, and driving successful placement outcomes.
Working closely with recruiters, vendors, and internal stakeholders, the Account Manager manages open requisitions, promotes candidate opportunities, supports client workforce initiatives, and ensures a high-quality client experience throughout the staffing lifecycle.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Build and maintain consultative relationships with healthcare facility contacts to understand staffing priorities, workforce needs, and future hiring demands.
- Partner with clients to develop staffing strategies that improve fill rates and support operational goals.
- Provide proactive recommendations to address workforce challenges across nursing and allied healthcare specialties.
- Maintain ongoing communication regarding open requisitions, candidate availability, confirmed clinicians, assignment status, and contract end dates.
Staffing Strategy & Workforce Planning
- Research and identify opportunities related to facility expansions, service line growth, workforce initiatives, and special staffing projects.
- Collaborate with business development leadership to align staffing strategies with client growth objectives.
- Gather information regarding key decision-makers, project timelines, and workforce planning needs to support business development efforts.
Candidate & Order Management
- Partner with recruiters to promote job opportunities and identify qualified clinicians who meet client requirements.
- Communicate staffing priorities through requisition details, order alerts, presentations, and ongoing collaboration.
- Monitor candidate pipeline activity and work with recruiting teams to improve submission and placement outcomes.
Vendor Management & Process Optimization
- Utilize vendor management systems (VMS) and workforce technology platforms to post orders, manage submissions, and improve speed-to-market.
- Follow established best practices for candidate submission, client communication, and requisition management.
- Support process improvements that enhance client satisfaction and operational efficiency.
Required Qualifications
- Associate degree and 2+ years of account management, client relationship management, staffing, healthcare operations, or workforce solutions experience
OR
- High school diploma or GED and 4+ years of account management, client relationship management, staffing, healthcare operations, or workforce solutions experience
- Experience managing client relationships and supporting business objectives.
- Experience working in a fast-paced environment with competing priorities and deadlines.
- Experience utilizing CRM, ATS, VMS, or related business systems.
Preferred Qualifications
- Experience in healthcare staffing, workforce solutions, or contingent labor management.
- Experience supporting nursing or allied healthcare staffing programs.
- Experience partnering with recruiters, vendors, or talent acquisition teams.
- Experience using vendor management systems (VMS) within healthcare environments.

Pay Rate
$19.50 - $24.25 HourlyFinal pay rate is dependent on experience, training, education, and location.
