Description
As an Event Volunteer, you will play a key role in creating memorable experiences at a wide variety of fundraising and awareness events throughout the year. From village fetes, community fairs, local shows, and supermarket collections to festivals, challenge events, and organised fundraising activities, you will help create a welcoming and positive experience for everyone who supports Naomi & Jack's.
Whether you are helping set up an event, welcoming visitors, supporting participants, selling merchandise, marshalling, or simply bringing enthusiasm and encouragement to the day, you will be helping raise vital funds and awareness for the children, young adults, and families cared for by Naomi & Jack's.
Key Responsibilities
- Represent Naomi & Jack's at a variety of community and fundraising events.
- Welcome and engage with visitors, participants, supporters, and members of the public.
- Help create a friendly, inclusive, and positive atmosphere.
- Assist with event set-up and pack-down, including signage, gazebos, tables, displays, and fundraising materials.
- Support event activities such as registration points, information stands, refreshment stations, and community engagement activities.
- Encourage and cheer on participants at challenge events, walks, runs, and other fundraising activities.
- Help with collections, merchandise sales, raffles, and other fundraising activities where appropriate.
- Provide directions, answer basic questions, and signpost visitors to staff members when needed.
- Work collaboratively with other volunteers and staff to help ensure events run safely and successfully

Some events may involve:
- Standing and being active for extended periods.
- Walking between event locations.
- Moving, carrying, or setting up event equipment and supplies.
