Job Description

This role is part of the Freight audit and payments organization supporting LA region. As a Freight Audit and Payments Analyst, you will play a critical role in ensuring the accuracy and efficiency of freight expenses for Procter & Gamble. This position involves auditing freight invoices, processing payments, and identifying opportunities for cost savings and
process improvements within our complex supply chain. Ensures that P&G pays the correct amount timely to the transportation providers in line with the Internal Control requirements.


Main responsibilities:


• Perform detailed audits of freight invoices against contractual rates, shipping documents, and internal systems to identify discrepancies, overcharges, and potential errors (duplicate payments and any other deviation to standard payment process)
• Process freight payments accurately and in a timely manner, ensuring compliance with P&G’s financial policies and procedures.
• Collaborate with carriers, logistics partners, and internal P&G teams (e.g., Supply Chain, Procurement) to resolve invoice issues, negotiate adjustments, and retrieve necessary documentation.
• Analyze freight spend data to identify trends, root causes of discrepancies, and opportunities for cost optimization and process enhancements. (Identify inefficiencies in freight audit and payment processes)
• Support the implementation and maintenance of freight audit and payment systems, identifying and reporting system inefficiencies or bugs.
• Prepare and present reports, dashboards, and KPIs, audit findings, and savings initiatives to management.
• Ensure adherence to all relevant financial controls and compliance regulations related to freight payments.
• Participate in special projects related to freight optimization, carrier management, and financial process improvements.
• Support accruals process, forecasting, and budget tracking related to transportation spend.
• Track vendor performance from a payment’s perspective (carriers SLEA).
• Drive standardization and automation. Collaborate with digital/IT teams to enhance tools and data accuracy.

Job Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in supply chain management, Logistics, Finance, Accounting, or a related field.
• Strong communication, both verbal and written
• Effective collaboration in a team environment
• Operational discipline and excellence
• Learning agility; Analysis and troubleshooting skills
• Desirable knowledge of SAP and freight management systems.
• English and Portuguese level –Basic/Intermediate.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
