McDaniel Supply Company is seeking a motivated and dependable Distribution Associate to support our commissary operations within the Greenville County Detention Center. Position Overview
As a Distribution Associate, you will play a key role in maintaining efficient operations in our warehouse and commissary. From receiving shipments to picking, packing, and delivering orders, your accuracy and professionalism will be essential.
Key Responsibilities
- Pull orders according to receipts, verify item accuracy and quantities, bag and seal items, and place them in designated carts for delivery.
- Dispense orders to inmates throughout the detention facility, including:
- Confirm inmate identity using facility identification.
- Deliver orders promptly and professionally.
- Document discrepancies or damages.
- Obtain inmate signatures and provide receipts.
- Return copies for commissary records and properly dispose of delivery-related waste.
- Assist with inventory restocking for next day’s operations.
- Unload pallets and totes from transfer trucks and organize inventory.
- Collaborate with team members to maintain quality, timeliness, and presentation standards.
- Promote a customer-first approach and contribute to overall service excellence.
- Attend training sessions provided by McDaniel Supply Company and any facility-required classes.
- Perform additional duties as assigned by the supervisor.
- Ensure compliance with all company policies and procedures.
Requirements
Qualifications
- Must pass a drug screen and criminal background check.
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
- Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines, and maintain a positive attitude.
- Strong attention to detail and ability to work independently.
- Physical ability to lift up to 50 lbs and perform essential job functions.
- Regular, punctual attendance required.
Schedule
- Monday–Thursday: 7.5-hour shifts
- Friday: 4.5-hour shift
Job Type: Full-time Pay: $16.50 – $17.00 per hour
