Job Summary 

The Supply Chain Project Coordinator coordinates the flow of parts from suppliers according to daily, weekly and monthly production schedules. This role requires the ability to identify supply chain risks and implement corrective actions to resolve them. The Project Coordinator should have a desire and willingness to work independently but collaborate well and be able to effectively drive results in a team environment. A successful Project Coordinator will be detail-oriented, yet work efficiently and have strong written and verbal communication skills. This individual must be able to facilitate and support daily operations and multiple priorities. 

Responsibilities 

  • Assist operations in the execution of business goals 

  • Provide support to the operations team in troubleshooting and developing corrective actions for distribution interruptions 

  • Ensure daily production requirements are achieved to meet customer expectation 

  • Develop and implement standard tools and processes to provide total supply chain delivery analysis to be used in SIOP discussions 

  • Utilize models to simulate and analyze multiple supply chain scenarios and propose opportunities to streamline and increase the efficiency of the Polaris supply chain 

  • Analyze and prepare documents needed for distribution 

  • Data analysis and decision making to support customer demand and order delivery. 

  • Collaborate with other departments to identify issues and implement solutions to improve total supply chain delivery 

  • Follows the production schedule and other reports as required. 

  • Follow-up as required with all teams to expedite flow of materials and documents to meet production schedule and customer expectation. 

  • Work with Suppliers, Carriers, and logistics as needed to expedite deliveries resulting from inventory variances, rejections, or late deliveries 

  • Communicates delays, shortages, problems, issues relating to shipments and/or inventory levels of purchased items to Production, Purchasing, and Logistics 

  • Work independently; Successfully demonstrate critical thinking and problem solving skills 

  • Multi-task; track operations and task progress, and communicate results 

  • Adhere to system and operations processes and control procedures; documenting and updating as necessary 

  • Provide status reports on operations 

  • Work with Supplier(s) on proposed schedule changes. 

  • Monitor Suppliers behind on PO’s in accordance with current build schedule. 

  • Other duties as assigned 

Experience & Skills 

  • 2+ years of experience in supply chain and business processes. 

  • Bachelor’s degree preferred. 

  • Experience with warehouse management systems preferred. 

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills 

  • WMS and AS400 order inquiry and inventory knowledge 

  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and exhibit proficiency 

  • Understanding of systems, processes, operations, transportation and order management 

  • Ability to motivate team members using effective interpersonal, communication and problem solving skills 

  • Independent decision-making, resolution skills and strong problem identification skills with a working knowledge of warehousing and transportation fundamentals 

  • Ability to work well at all levels of the organization 

  • Strong proficiency with Microsoft Office Excel 

  • Strong interpersonal skills including the ability to work effectively with a wide variety of people and functions. 

  • Ability to synthesize large amount of data quickly and stay calm under pressure 

Working Conditions

The starting pay range for Minnesota is $70,000 to $92,000 per year. Individual salaries and positioning within the range are determined through a wide variety of factors including but not limited to education, experience, knowledge, skills, and geography.  While individual pay could fall anywhere in the range based on these factors, it is not common to start at the high end or top of the range.
